Skills:
Total Productive Maintenance Program
Equipment Reliability and Performance

I have worked on many projects, programs, machine up-grades, people building productivity and corporation committees, whereas I have spear headed the start-up operations and development of equipment. For an example, implementation of preventive maintenance programs in companies, which did not have these maintenance systems in the place.
I had the opportunity and responsibilities to start-up where to implement the first of preventive maintenance program, predictive maintenance program. This also, helped put in place the computerizes maintenance management system (CMMS) for the maintenance department to monitor work orders, parts inventory, preventive maintenance schedules and other actives. I trained maintenance personal and/or other people at Tenneco. These strategies where used to maintain a higher consistence in equipment’s reliability, efficiency, and productivity.
I initiated the company’s preventive and predictive maintenance program on metal rolling mills that where not performing very efficient. I use instrumentation with vibration analysis a frequency data system to gather information to replace parts and/or components before it fails and later this program was implemented in other department of the company. This would lead for less non-scheduled down time to more preventive maintenance schedule down time, therefore to have greater equipment reliability. Tending, monitoring and replacing machine parts at a schedule time to offset production losses. This will let the company know when it is time to break down a gearbox and rebuild and/or replace all the gears, bearings/bushing, shafts and other wear components or parts. The preventive maintenance team made value-standardizing improvements.
There was an internal team training (ITT) in the plant where I enhanced ownership and introducing a team accountability for overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to reform corrective maintenance by using a equipment improvement team (EIT). This new state of the art machinery was being installed, which I was hired to train mechanics, create a preventive and predictive maintenance program, implementation of MP2, and integrate team-shared vision at Solo Cup Company. Applying these methods will achieve equipment performance and effectives, therefore after machine start-up and a process of continuous improvements the team had the equipment performing over 90% effective every day.
The development of a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) can be done with different tools and techniques, which I have analysis and measured companies maintenance practices, which one TPM program that works very well - might not work in another company. Therefore, I will development a plan for effective equipment reliability and performance to enhance that plant.
