Regional Sales Executive:
Worked with a manufacturer of thermoformed packaging (clamshells and blisters), printed packaging (blister and insert cards, folding cartons, posters and POP’s), and contract packaging. Fulfilled set of goals to open new region to work then as a centralized sales support based region. Coverage included New England/NY/MD/NJ/PA and eastern Canada.
A $400 million manufacturer of multi-wall paper, plastic sacks and printed shrink film for the pet food, building materials, lawn and garden, seed and food industries. Expanded existing region and opened new accounts national and regional. Positioned for sale of company. Coverage included New England/ NY City.
1996 to Liqui-Box Corporation, Columbus, OH 2000 A worldwide manufacturer of plastic blow-molded, rigid, films and filling equipment selling to diverse companies in the beverage, dairy and bottled water industries.
Regional Sales Representative: Responsible to Regional Sales Manager for account development, penetration and design of custom products and equipment in the New England area. Sales focus was on new account generation while nurturing valued established accounts to the next level. Prime account penetration was on developing new products within account to enhance position and build value added into the partnership equation. Realigned sales force, company sold to Dupont Canada.
· Developed territory by focusing on customizing products to fit customers’ need. Net Result: Grew business by 12-15% for 3 consecutive years and increased sales by $2,000,000. COVER LETTER
For over 15 years I have managed accounts locally in the New England area and more broader in the Northeast region and successfully increased sales revenue, hit sales goals and positioned companies favorably. During that time, I stabilized declines in account bases, established new accounts in previously untapped markets, and managed direct, distributor and national accounts. As an Independent Packaging Consultant for the past five years I have been able to work for diverse companies in sales for specific time frames to enhance the sales position of a particular company. With my other experiences in sales I have appreciated what it means to be on the top by earning it through hard work and determination.
I have been involved with designing unique products to patent status, conducting presentations at senior levels, and working with diverse individuals from engineers to purchasing agents to effective resolves. My other real life work experiences e.g. owning a successful start up company, taught me the value of managing a team of individuals well, wearing many hats and accomplishing what it takes to succeed.
