The computer lab of 15 computers, a smart board, digital display and overhead was my responsibility, which I successfully maintained resulting in 99% uptime. The lab provided and excellent location for group rollout and new product training. On of my achievements was introducing lab use for “other than” training purposes resulting in more effective lab usage, by approximately 40% while enjoying the budgetary advantages of costing out to the other departments.
As part of my public relations responsibility I attended company meetings and addressed any concerns regarding my department. I developed many successful resources resulting in more efficient use of time as with the newsletter I developed, which included calendar, tools and tips as well as other information. This newsletter was adopted by corporate. Another successful achievement was the efficient use of time saving the company up to 80% travel time by adopting remote computing techniques. These innovative ideas resulted in my invitation as a member of the strategic planning committee for the distance-learning project.
