Excel Communications/VarTec Telecom/ComTel – 10/1999 – Present - Sr. Project/Program Manager. Managed the Customer Care and Middleware implementations for Excel’s launch into the local phone service market. Led a large, matrixed team of internal resources and Deloitte Consulting personnel in this successful proof of concept launch, utilizing customized Siebel as the front-end order entry/CRM application and Crossworld’s for middleware. Directed resources in the management of the Customer Care portfolio. Managed an integrated schedule of projects and production trouble tickets. Negotiated with other business and development managers to ensure proper prioritization of Customer Care initiatives, ensuring needed resource availability. The program was turned over with a 75% improvement in number of defects reported.
Currently co-managing the company’s portfolio of programs and projects. Responsible for regular status updates to corporate executives.

EDS – 5/1988 – 10/1999 – Business Analyst / Project Manager / Technical Delivery Team Manager. As Technical Delivery Team Manager, responsible for a team of 35 programmers, business analysts and project managers who provided systems implementation and production support to EDS’ Community Banking customers. Heavy involvement in vendor relations and resource planning, utilization, scheduling, and reporting. Responsibilities included ensuring proper performance and compensation reviews, issues management resolution and communications to all direct employees. This team successfully migrated our 5 largest customers to a new PC based imaging platform in less than 1 year.

P&L responsibilities included business planning, budgeting and forecasting. Interacted with CIO, CFO, and other senior management in order to understand and deliver quality services to the organization, its customers and its suppliers. Managed day-to-day operations including regular reporting, as well as updates during periods of problem remediation.

Vendor/Partner/Line Management: Managed relationships with external vendor partners, from small private firms to Fortune 500 companies. Worked with internal IT development and business line managers to ensure proper resource planning and scheduling to meet key deliverables. Prepared requests for quotes, reviewed proposals and awarded vendor contracts. Maintained and tracked physical assets in excess of $3 million.
