Manage the Human Resource function for 350 employees in the United States and Mexico. I Supervise 4 employees who assist in handling every aspect of human resources while I also managed Plant Safety.
•Work with the various state environmental, agencies on air, hazardous waste, storm water discharge and other environmental issues. OSHA hearings, compliance, reduction in fines. •Developing 5-S and ergonomic training. •Established monthly Plant wide meetings to communicate issues with employees, employee recognition and provide management visibility. •Hiring of production, management staff and utilization of two temporary services. •Development of the orientation process, PP presentation and computer training center. •Developed Worker-Right-to-Know programs for OSHA. Reported to the Plant Manager of this Japanese Automotive Supplier, We supplied to U.S. Tier-1 molding companies working for Big Three Car-makers, and now established itself as highly sophisticated automotive parts maker in U.S. During my employment, OJI received the JCI Gold Award (3-times) for being the best supplier in North America for JCI. I was responsible for the Human Resources function and Plant production.
•Strategic Planning: Plant Strategy Committee (Business partnership) we established 1 year, 3 year, 5 year business models to recognize current and future Plant business.
