PLANNING


Ø As Planning Supervisor, researched and developed complex work packages and procedures in conformance with strict Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements.


§ Responsible for all equipment database changes and updates.

§ Determined project scope, estimated labor and material costs, and developed bills of materials and work packages as well as supervising plant planners and contracted planners.

§ Responsible for all Online and Outage Work Orders

§ Planning Procedures – This includes writing, training staff and continued maintenance.

§ Integrate work plan into schedule for Online Work, Outage Work, PM’s., Emergent Work etc.

§ Manload and schedule craft to support work.


MAINTENANCE

Ø Maintenance Experience:

§ Complete teardown and inspection of site emergency diesels. This consisted of the 10 years inspection that included all updates and PowerPoint’s. Responsible for complete project, which included Work packages, materials, vendor selection and contract implementation, and interaction with NRC.

§ Project support items to remove, rebuild, and modify site LPSI/HPSI Pumps to resolve NPSH design problems.

§ Terry Turbine rebuild and design change modifications.

§ Served as Charging Floor Supervisor responsible for Reactor Head Removal/Installation and all other activities on the Refuel Floor.

§ Containment Supervisor: This position was responsible for all containment activities and scheduling.

§ Reactor Coolant Pump/Seals/Motor. Extensive experience in all aspects of RCP disassembly/assembly seal testing and installation.



MAINTENANCE (Continued)

§ Extensive experience with many types of manual valves, MOV’s, and AOV’s.

§ Turbine Upgrade Project: I was added to a team that was tasked with replacing the existing Westinghouse Turbine components with ABB Components. This included the HP, LP turbines, Generator and all support systems. Also included was the future PM program change, recommended spares and all support activities.

§ Served as Project Manager for a $1.6 million valve overhaul project. This included the oversight of 110 plant and contractor personnel, which included Engineers, Supervisors, Craft, Planners, all supporting machine work, project man loading and schedules. Also supported all secondary plant welding. Closely monitored work progress and provided status reports to management All material integration and procurement. Supported all site indoctrination for all contractor staff.

§ Steam Generator Inspections

Ø Maintenance Supervisor – As Maintenance Supervisor I was accountable for all day-to-day plant support for my group. This included the Lubrication Program, PM Program, Scheduling up coming work to support plant needs etc. I was also the Mechanical Representative for the Emergency Plan.


MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

Ø Purchasing/Materials Supervisor – As Materials Supervisor, I was charged with all the day-to-day material needs, parts, as well as oversight of 3.4 million in inventory. This includes Material PM Program, Level B Storage Maintenance, Material Degradation Program, Vendor Contracts and administration and oversight of Stores Personnel.


DECOMISSIONING EXPERIENCE

Ø Decommissioning Oversight – I reported to the Director of Engineering performing Contractor oversight, long range planning, and contractor performance issues. Re-work of existing plant procedures to stay in alignment with decommissioning schedules.

LEAN MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Ø Currently (2002 to present) employed as a Lean Engineer at Bath Iron Works (General Dynamics Corp). Responsible for complete re-work of manufacturing and support process improvements.


TECHNICAL

Ø Participated in the development of key process improvements at a nuclear power plant, including the transition to a computerized maintenance management system, inventory reduction program.

v Was a key player on the research team selecting the company's first software for electronic maintenance management (TSW Maintenance Inventory Planning Process System).
· Held responsibility for much of the subsequent employee training on the system.
· Worked closely with TSW (Indus) software engineers to develop site?specific code.
· Co?chaired Indus planning and scheduling group, tasked with providing recommendations for improvements to the computer system's planning and scheduling modules.

§ Held responsibility for conversion of preventive maintenance record?keeping to electronic form

§ Served on a team examining the materials procurement process and subsequent selection of a computerized materials control system.

§ Took part in a zero base procurement review to save costs through "just?in?time" ordering.

§ Was appointed as maintenance department representative on the asset recovery team, chartered with optimizing the salvaging of plant assets during decommissioning.

§ Extensive background in Procedure Writing, Procedure Maintenance.

§ Co-Chair of the site Software Committee

Ø Education – Accumulated 2 years in the Regent Degree Program with Industrial Technology as my major.

§ Project management training, extensive mechanical training, GM Diesel School, Woodward Governor Class, Supervisor Training, E Plan Training, many vendor classes on site installed pumps and valves, many software classes.

§ Gained proficiency with computer maintenance management systems and Windows software, including word processors, spreadsheets, databases, drawing and presentation applications, Internet software. Familiar with Primavera and Microsoft Project scheduling software programs.
