Cuddlies For Kosovo Kids Project
Call, email, phone people to donate stuffed animals to be shipped overseas to
the children and refugees of Kosovo. Did TV interview for Channel 5 News with
Brian McEntire on the Cuddlies for Kosovo Kids project. Also spoke with and did
interviews with News Herald newspaper and with Nickelodeon television show. Set
up drop off stations and recruited others in the area as volunteers for the
project. Packaged and shipped stuffed animals to main volunteer office in
Florida to be shipped to Kosovo and final destination. Contacting people about
donations, time, equipment, trucking, boxes and shipping.
Animal Rescue, Adoption, Fostering
I have been volunteering with different rescue groups as well as personally to
help animals in need. I have worked with Shaggy Dog Rescue, Paws Of Ohio, as
well as personal rescues, fosters and transport of animals. Have fostered,
adopted out, done adoption paperwork, home visits, vet visits, and
transportation. Worked with others doing email and information postings for
DoNotAdopt lists, rescued personal neglect cases, worked with local animal
protection people for animal cases I've encountered. Nutritional care,
bathing, grooming, and basic command training as well as much computer and
library research on different animals. Can train and care for animals of
different types, reptiles, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets,
birds, cats, dogs.
