Production Manager 1999 - 2009
$100 million state-of-the-art sheet metal manufacturing company. Reported to VP of Operations. Directly managed five supervisors and 120 assembly employees. Responsible for initially directing the operations of five assembly production areas, which included Main Enclosures, Wall Rack Enclosures, Mig Weld Operation, Accessory and Packaging areas. In 2005 given additional responsibility of managing Powder Coating Line with additional 30 employees. Created and maintained all maintenance schedules for paint line system. Ensured quality of produced and assembled items with goal of zero defects per month.

Selected Accomplishments:
• Instrumental in growing company business from $25 million to over $100 million.
• Configured, implemented and managed relocation of Paint Line and Assembly operation from Riverdale, NJ to Fairfield, NJ into state-of-the-art 417,000 sq ft building without loss of production output. Move involved adding second line increasing production by 60%.
• Identified and choose vendors for new $3 million and 45,000 sq ft Paint Line system. Collaborated with vendors to continuously incorporate latest state-of-the-art improvements.
• Collaborated with IT department in the design and implementation of electronic database system that keeps track of all parts, hanging instructions and special instructions for line presentation resulting in improved quality and output. System allows for ongoing data input.
• Collaborated with Design Engineering in designing new parts for proper powder coating.
• Implemented Lean manufacturing concepts including 5S, Kan-ban, Work Cells and Kaizens that resulted in increasing rack assembly output from 75 racks per day to over 600 racks per day.
• Developed and implemented new process and methods that expanded custom color choices from two to eight colors.
• Developed cross training programs to increase flexibility of work force to handle company mixed production model.
• Implemented Advanced Project Manager (APM) training to develop team membership leadership skills.

Cost Containment:
• Saved $100,000 annually by implementing new system to reduce paint line color changes from one hour to 20 minutes.
• Saved $240,000 annually by incorporating improvements in repackaging process.
