* My Adults’ grunge plaid Chuck Taylors have been featured in the movie “Juno” worn by the main character Ellen Page. They have also been featured in August, 2007 issue of Teen Vogue magazine in the “Back To School Shoe Special” section featuring the top 29 coolest back to school shoes. * My Men’s military eagle Chuck Taylors were worn by commentator Ernie Johnson who co-hosted TNT’s NBA show “NBA on TNT” with Charles Barkley. * Chosen to design a skull printed Chuck Taylor to be worn by one of the main characters in the popular video game “Guitar Hero”. * My top selling graphics packages have been major volume drivers for Converse. (These packages were each sold in one season.) - Flames pack 100K pair sold - Skull flames pack 75K pair sold - Heart Breaker pack 75K pair sold - Girl‘s glitz foil pack 75K pair sold * Designed engineered and repeat graphics and material packages for the Chuck Taylor Adults’ and Kids’ lines in addition to designing for the Special Make Up (SMU) team which services such accounts as Footlocker, Famous Footwear, Sears, J.C. Penney and Journeys among others. Five of my Chuck Taylor print packages, in both Adults’ and Kids’, were top gross sellers for the company, and, in some cases, the Kids’ prints were taken up into Adults‘ collections. * Designed Kids’ footwear for the Sports Authentics business (Converse Court & Running franchises) as well as designed all Kids‘ product for the Jack Purcell (Premium) line. *Footwear design responsibilities included new creation footwear, new uppers, color ups, material and trim selection, blueprint and upper pattern revisions, designing to cost, creating detailed techpacks, and for thoroughly communicating ideas and concepts appropriately through U.S. development team to factories in China. * Experience with small parts and hazardous materials testing regarding Kids’ product. * Experience performing trend and market research involving: Visiting key accounts to gain a better understanding of what product is selling well and what is not, and to highlight areas for improvement. * Designed apparel graphic packages from initial concept to bulk production across all Men’s categories of apparel including graphic tees, knits, wovens, sweats, outerwear and bottoms. Packages included but were not limited to, center front chest and side seam graphics, lower back hem prints, graphic embroideries, and inner lining artwork. * Solid knowledge of screen printing techniques including sublimation printing, water based inks, metallic and rainbow foil printing, discharge printing, high density printing, puff printing, RF weld appliqués etc. * Designed and developed trims consecutively season after season in-house, saving the company thousands of dollars not having to depend on an outside vendor. * Rendered hand sketches of apparel silhouettes in Illustrator to create product briefs for techpacks to be sent to China for development. Updated all product color briefs, black and white detail sketches as well as all graphic package techpacks. * Attended fit sessions with development. * Conducted product handoffs with Merchandising and Product Development teams. * Solid knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management) software.
