-Operated radar and associated equipment; identified and maintained a display (plot) of the movement of ships.
Aircraft, missiles, and natural objects detected by observing radar; maintained a radar navigation plot of ownship's movement.

-Evaluated information collected by radar and appropriately disseminated it; performed routine preventive maintenance on radar equipment; operated radiotelephones and operated a radar/console screen.

-Performed the basic functions and interrelations of the modulator, receiver, antenna, control, and indicator units; read electronic block diagrams; solved maneuvering board problems for course, speed, closest point of approach, true wind, and desired wind.

- Operated global command and control system equipment; operated the unified build software; conducted mapping operations; provided strong familiarity with advanced tactical display; and understood the command and control personnel computer.

UNITED STATES NAVY (Seaman) USS IWO-JIMA LHD-7
-Served on a 10 month extended deployment through the Mediterranean while providing assistance to nearby 3rd world countries during the War against Terrorism.

-Performed all basic seamanship functions aboard ship that involved line or wire and rigging used to secure the ship to the pier, mooring, or anchor.

-Ability to identify functions of navigation and shipboard equipment; lowers, raises, and launches lifesaving equipment; handled small boats; navigates by using several different types of compasses; kept records by degrees or points; provided knowledge navigational aids, nautical rules of the road, and the buoys of inland waters of the US; knowledge of the nomenclature of decks, superstructures, and parts of the hull.
