Objective:
Seeking a Manager of Network Plans and Engineering Job in the North Carolina Area.


Experience:
Information Management Officer (IMO), HHC United States Army Garrison, Fort Myer, VA 2007-Present
• Maintain a fluid database tracking all U.S. Army soldiers in the National Capitol Region including all ranks from Private to General Officer in excess of 300 personnel records
• Maintained the Joint Base Myer – Henderson Hall Garrison calendar, tracking events for the Garrison Commander, the Battalion Commander and 13 separate directorates
• Manage in processing for all personnel computer login accounts by checking for security risks and coordinating with the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM)
• Often work late hours to ensure databases are correct and up to date, tasks are completed correctly and on time, and all soldiers in the National Capitol Region are informed
• Call in and track all work orders for electronics repair, new service requests, and customer complaints with the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM)
• Troubleshoot and resolve all user electronics issues within the company including network connectivity, printer connectivity, Microsoft Outlook, and ISDN telephones

Satellite Radio Technician (WRT), White House Communications Agency (WHCA), Washington, DC February 2007 – December 2007
• Hand Selected out of the top two percent of the U.S. Army Signal Corps to work in a Top Secret SCI environment to provide communications for the White House
• Graduated in the top ten percent of the WHCA Academy
• Provided essential communications support for the President of the United States as well as the Vice President, First Lady, and Secret Service
• Worked as a team to test, refurbish and store all satellite and radio equipment every time it left the warehouse
• Installed multiple temporary radio networks including repeaters, radio control consoles, and AN/USC-60 Satellite terminals providing 100% area coverage
• Installed Video Teleconferencing terminals utilizing ISDN landlines and M4 Satellite ISDN lines

Network Plans and Engineering Manager, Headquarters Company 50th Signal Battalion, Fort Bragg, NC/Korea 2006 – 2007
• Hand selected out of all the satellite operators in the 35th Signal Brigade to work in this vital position two pay grades higher than my own
• Managed the engineering and planning of multiple data and voice communication networks including over 300 pieces of networking equipment
• Maintained accountability for tools, data testing equipment, servers, and network equipment valued in excess of $2 million dollars
• Conducted training classes on many topics including, Satellite signal flow, multiplexer installation and configuration, Fireberd 8000 test set, and Cisco equipment configuration
• Upgraded and repaired over 60% of the battalions Promina equipment resulting in increased performance and life expectancy by more than 50%
• Provided Secure and Non-secure Internet Routing Protocol, Defense Switching Network services, and commercial phone lines to any location needed via SATCOM terminals.
• Served as the Battalion liaison to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for Gateway Access and Satellite Access Authorization
• Engineered and managed the installation of duel gateway links to provide redundant communications linked in a mesh network via fiber optic modems.
• Planned, engineered, installed and troubleshot a network consisting of 13 satellite links, three gateway links, and spanning four different states
• Deployed to South Korea to manage the installation of one satellite link and multiple data links providing Internet and telephone lines via international T-1 trunks

Team Chief, 514th Signal Company, 327th Signal Battalion, Fort Bragg, NC/Iraq 2002 - 2006
• Successfully deployed and maintained accountability of a team and an AN/TSC-85 Satellite system, valued in excess of $5 million dollars to Operation Iraqi Freedom III
• Cross trained on all signal equipment within the Signal Battalion to provided precise troubleshooting procedures and ability to perform duties in place of any other soldier
• Trained vigorously to enhance technical and tactical expertise allowing my team to achieve the fastest network installation and site setup validation time in the Brigade
• Aided in the design of the TYQ-127, and helped build multiple Promina based STEP entry packages that were later used for operations in Iraq
• Trained multiple soldiers in the use of STEP entry packages, and basic soldiering skills using dynamic instructional skills to motivate soldiers to excel during training
• Deployed to Arizona providing site reconnaissance, and later to install and maintain a robust network across three different states connected via commercial T1 trunks
