Experience: 4 yrs of experience in FPGA / ASIC design and development. Extensive work on Hardware Design tools like Orcad Schematic Capture and Orcad Layout. Administration skills include getting Quotes for PCB and components, placing orders from Digikey/Mouser, Sample Requests, Preparing Invoices, Preparing the shipment documents, documenting the designs. Experience includes writing Verilog / VHDL/Schematic code, prototype designing, Synthesis, Placement and Routing, Timing Closure, board debugging and troubleshooting. Efficient in handling multiple clock domain issues. Also hardware designing using Xilinx XST tools which includes various cores like asynchronous FIFO and buffers. Extensive use of tools like Xilinx XST and ModelSim ( Simulator). Exhaustive logic design skills. Experience in use of communication protocols like Ethernet, Magic (developed by Gibson Digital Guitar),OSC(Open Sound Control ). Designed audio protocols like MADI, DSD over MADI and AES3. Involved in STAGEBOX design from drawing the schematics to releasing the first version. Involved in development of Digital Snake (32x32 Channels) and Zion (5dot1 audio transmission over Ethernet) projects. ( Filed a patent for Zion ) Clear understanding of Debugging tools like Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Frequency Counter etc. Decent soldering skills with experience handling the pick-n-place machine. Proficient PC and communication tool skills ( Word, Excel)
Education: • Master of Science (Electrical Engineering) – University of South Florida, Tampa. • Bachelor of Science (Instrumentation Engineering) - Amravati University, India.
Skills: Programming Languages Verilog, Xilinx Schematics and VHDL. Synthesis Tools Xilinx XST, ModelSim (Simulator). Operating Systems Windows 95, 97, 2000, Windows XP. PCB design tools Capture, Layout – Orcad VLSI Tools HSPICE, Cadence and MAGIC.
