Bridges Project
The Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Community Health (DCH) and the Department of Information Technology (DIT) have jointly determined that the multiple automated systems that currently support eligibility and benefit determination for Michigan¡¦s cash assistance, medical assistance, food assistance, and child care assistance programs should be replaced with a single, integrated service delivery system. The new BRIDGES system will:
• Reduce the administrative workload in the local DHS offices;
• Enable workers to focus on delivering services to their clients;
• Improve program accuracy; and
• Facilitate integration of the service delivery system with other DHS, state, federal, and private systems.

• Supported an infrastructure of Sun Enterprise-class servers running Solaris 10, providing corporate AS infrastructure.
• Installed, configured and maintain various third party software including OPUS, Author-IT, OPCON/XPS, eDirectory, Informatica, Crystal reports, Mercury Quality Center etc.
• Install, upgrade and configure various security and monitoring tools like CA Unicenter Agent monitoring software, Nagios, Up-time, FCheck, EMC PowerPath, Vantage agents etc.
• Well versed with Data management configuration, creating metadb, metadevices, mirror, and concatenation using Solaris Volume Manager
• Adding, configuring, and resizing local and SAN disk on systems and associated disk management such as file system creation and partition.
• Experience in Informatica Power Center 8.1.1 SP3 software installation/upgrades, hot-fixes, set-up, configuration in a high availability cluster/DR (Disaster Recovery) environment and maintenance.

• Maintain all servers to DOD standards with service patches, security related hot fixes and registry edits, including the latest antivirus protection to servers and desktops.
