Objective:
To become associated with an organization that will offer stability and an opportunity for an experienced HVAC (Sheet Metal, Piping) senior estimator and/or project manager.

Estimator/ Project Manager
Develop budgets both conceptual and/or square foot estimates.
Establish clear understanding of client needs and what fits their budget.
Estimate and bid cost of HVAC systems using auto-bid mechanical software.
Put together final estimates from take-off to completing Excel estimate sheet.
Understand the marketplace and competitors to maximize profit.
Study and interpret plans and specifications to estimate project costs.
Write bid proposals and work orders; largest to date $6 million.
Budget and design projects to meet the customers criteria.
Responsible for all activities from project initiation to completion.
Review contract issues, submittals, shop drawings and purchase orders.
Review history of similar project for knowledge for opportunities for enhanced performance.
Conduct turn-over meetings with field superintendent and foreman.
Education:
BS, HVAC Engineering 1985-1989 University of Technology Baghdad, Iraq
Skills:
Extensive and advanced experience in HVAC estimating and budgeting sheet metal and piping projects, experience with Auotbid estimating software from performing takeoff to resolving software problems.
Seven years progressive experience in commercial construction of multi-million dollar projects, such as hospitals, data centers, office buildings, financial institutions, restaurants, storefront and interior remodeling, and most recently institutional projects, such as schools, colleges, correctional institutions, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Autobid Sheet Metal and Piping.
Experienced in taking projects from conceptual pricing to GMP, Design Build and hard-bid pricing, including cost analysis, value engineering, forecasting, expediting, vendor relations, evaluation of sub-contractor bids, and coordination of shop drawings with on-site conditions / contractors, including hands-on field experience on smaller projects, served as both estimator and project manager.
