Objective:
To find a Senior financial analyst position which will enable me to use my 7 years of experience and skills in order to move ahead in my career and to challenge me.


Experience:
Senior Financial Analyst
• Prepare and report monthly and quarterly General Operating Expense Comparative Analyses, which includes narratives, for all 9 divisions with the Global Marine & Energy Department. All narratives explain variances in comparison to budget, forecast, prior period, and prior quarter.
• Analyze and produce quarterly General Operating Expense forecasts to be submitted to Commercial Insurance Comptrollers Division and communicate appropriate changes from previous forecasts and budget to Assistant Comptroller and Manager.
• Responsible for setting up all necessary recurring and non-recurring journal entries in the AXS-One Journal Entry system for all divisions in the Global Marine & Energy Department.
• Design newly improved and efficient 2010 Budget templates for all General Operating Expenses based on regional expenses (14 regions total) for comparative purposes.
• Devise the annual General Operating Expense Budget alongside the Assistant Comptroller and Manager of the department, which is then presented to the Presidents and Regional managers of the Global Marine & Energy department.
• Act as an intermediary between senior management and Directors or Vice Presidents of various divisions in order to effectively communicate the necessary improvements in highly scrutinized expenses.

Queens College of the City University of New York
Bachelor of Arts in Accounting – May 2002
Grade Point Average: Accounting – 3.1


Skills:
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in accounting software packages, including Lawson, Invision, Peachtree, PeopleSoft, and Cognos. Experience with Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
