Objective: My objective is to become an asset of an organization that will enable me to utilize my management and task execution skills while aiding in further developing such skills and allowing me to make a positive contribution to the organization.
Experience: Michael’s Casa Grande, AZ 2008 – Present Floral & Seasonal Department Manager As a Department Manager I was responsible for the overall management of the store under the direction of the Store Manager. The responsibilities included executing the company policies, procedures and programs required to manage a Michaels store and maintain sales and profit.
Gallo Construction, Inc., Casa Grande, AZ 2006 - 2008 Administrative Assistant/Front Office As the Administrative Assistant, I provided office support to the President, Vice-President, Project Manager, and Accounting Manager as needed. I also assisted the Superintendents with calling in building inspections and other paperwork. I worked directly with subcontractors during the bidding phase of potential projects to ensure their Proposals were accurate and included the project requirements. During my employment as the Administrative Assistant, I was fortunate to gain knowledge and experience in many of the numerous aspects of General Contracting. • Was given the responsibility of composing a response to a, “Request For Qualifications,” to be submitted by Gallo Construction, Inc. as our response to a public bid request made by the Casa Grande Elementary School District No. 4 regarding numerous remodeling and renovation projects throughout the district. This RFQ involved compiling the final costs and completion dates of all contracted projects within the previous five years, a company biography, a report from the Registrar of Contractors regarding the company’s current standings, certificates of insurance and bond information, etc. As a result of my submission, Gallo Construction, Inc. was awarded the contract for the Guaranteed Maximum Price of $1.2 million.
Nature Coast Broadcasting, Inc., WIFL 104.3 FM Inglis, FL 2005 - 2006 Advertising Account Manager • Maintained up to ten current advertising accounts each month, while continually promoting the benefits of the marketing power of the Radio Station in an effort to attract new advertising clients. • Worked with clients by creating a marketing plan designed around their business’ unique needs in order to maximize the results of their marketing campaign. On-Air Personality; Host of on location broadcasts • Hosted the live broadcasts from locations within the community. These events were broadcast live in order to support and promote local events or organizations, or they were live broadcasts that were purchased by an advertising client to promote their business or event by utilizing the most effective “call to action” advertisement. • Was responsible for the set-up and take down of the broadcasting equipment, maintaining open communication between the Client, the club’s deejay, and the station’s Owner in order to achieve the targeted results. Maintained continuous monitoring of the live feed from the station to ensure the twice per hour live breaks were timed accurately, and invested 100 percent effort and enthusiasm into each live break so the Client could see the effectiveness and power of radio advertising. Co-Host, “The Lisa-Lisa Morning Show” • Co-hosted the weekday morning show with the Co-Owner/General Manager, Lisa Cupelli, from 6am to 9am. Ms. Cupelli operated the main control board, assisted by the Production Manager, Eric Dively. As the Co-Host, I coordinated the guest appearances, monitored the schedule of events/show content, answered the live listener phone-ins, and provided bonus advertising live mentions for random advertising clients. • Researched and prepared approximately 25 percent of the show-prep during the day prior to the broadcast by securing live and/or phone-in guests (local musicians, comedians, special event talent, etc.). Lisa and I possessed the capability of improvising the remaining 75 percent of the show content by utilizing our own bond as friends, our personal experiences and opinions, the current news events, and our respective personalities/humor to successfully create a fun, energetic, and personalized atmosphere from within the same perspective of our targeted listening audience; of which were females, ages 20 to 35 years of age. • Lisa and I attended local events, venues, and were patrons of our advertising client’s businesses (in which we referred to as Cross/Self Promotion), which created a more personal rapport with our clients, generated increased listener involvement, increased revenue for our clients, etc.
Education: Attended Mesa Community College during my Senior year in high school in order to earn college credit for taking English 101 and 102.
