Manpower, Sovereign Bank, Wyomissing, PA 2/09-6/09 Contracts Paralegal: Responsible for reading over the commercial contracts with various vendors, maintaining the legal agreements and analyzing the monthly/yearly spend for the various vendors. Maintained a database containing the pertinent information from the contracts. Review draft contracts and subcontract agreements against legal checklist of acceptable contract elements to identify and mitigate legal risks. Flag incomplete areas and notify responsible parties of open action items; track contracts processed for completion. Reviews signed contract and subcontract agreement packages to ensure that all required documents have been received, such as insurance certificates from subcontractors. Follow up with responsible parties to obtain missing or corrected documents. Areas of law: commercial banking. Freelance Paralegal: Perform transcription of pleadings, motions, correspondences, wills, and power of attorney documents and bankruptcy filings for various attorneys on an independent basis. Areas of law: estate, family, criminal, corporate and real estate. Mortgage Broker: Originate purchase, HELOC, and refinance home loans. Handle the credit approval, obtain the best financing for clients, and prepare all the required paperwork. I would cold call customers, use a direct mail approach and had referrals.
