Nationwide Insurance (Titan Auto Insurance) San Antonio, Texas 2001 - 2006 2005 – 2006 National Personal Lines Director Integral part of National Sales Acquisition Team by identifying and visiting possible acquisition candidates (agency’s) along with coordinating acquisition comparisons, running win-rate reports and business plan models. Created model for rolling book of business received through acquisitions. Research and recommend viable locations for new Titan Auto agencies throughout the U.S. Serve on National Strategic Planning Sales Leadership Team which deals with projects such as creating goals and compensation plan for national sales team and planning for implementation of new agency management system. Maintained Service level of 85%. Maintained abandonment rate of Less than 3%. Achieved $9.27 million in written premium from 7 states serviced through the call center.
2001 – 2003 Customer Service Supervisor Supervised 11 associates handling calls from multiple states. Calls answered for 2 companies with different underwriting rules and guidelines. Agents answered 80+ calls per day and processed over 100 endorsements per week as part of their regular job duties.
GEICO Insurance Company Dallas, Texas 1987 - 2001 1999-2001 Sales Manager Dallas, Texas Managed 193 insurance agents and 12 supervisors in a call center environment. Responsible for daily operations, meeting sales, forecasting sales, projecting staffing levels and recruiting for claims, policy services and clerical units.
1997-1999 Sales Manager-Overflow Unit Dallas, Texas Managed 85 insurance agents in an inbound sales call center. Responsible for daily operations and training/development of these agents to ensure they were able to properly handle calls on multiple insurance products for all 50 states in the U.S.
1995-1997 Claims Manager Fredericksburg, Virginia Reported directly to Vice President of Claims while managing a Glass Claims Unit of 35 claims adjusters in an in-bound claims call center and creating an Emergency Road Service unit from the ground up. Responsibilities included setting up the call center configuration and equipment, projecting claims levels and appropriate staffing model and developing and delivering training. Traveled extensively to meet and negotiate with towing vendors. At the time of transfer to Dallas, this unit had 65 associates and was a 24/7 operation.
