Experience:
Experience at ENSCO:

Mar 07 –Jul 09: Software Quality Assurance Technical Assistant
Duties are to create, review and close Configuration Control Review Boards (CCRB) and Software Qual-ity Activity Records (SQAR). CCRB involve reviewing engineering code and documents to assure the changes made have been correctly implemented. CCRB can include reviewing requirements and attrib-utes, found in the DOORS database. The projects that involve CCRB include, but not limited to, T700eecu, 8-YSM, 8-FCU, MMA PSEU, S92, V22, MAWEA, DFDAC, and GE38.

A SQAR documents different types of reviews as required for each phase of the software lifecycle. The standards in reviewing engineering code are based upon documents D0-178B. Other works completed were Excel spreadsheets to track monthly metrics. Furthermore, duties include performing process re-views on unit-tests and sending findings/observations back to unittest leads. Communications between engineering lead and SQA reviewer/lead continues until there is a resolution.

In the SQA department, Formal Qualification Tests (FQT) takes priority over most other work. When a FQT is in progress, duties include participating in witnessing and raising questions to assure engineers are following procedure or steps accordingly. Tests are recorded on log sheets for the Test Readiness Report (TRR) and SQA’s records. My experiences with FQTs involve, but not limited to, the V22, A10, C17 airplanes and the Sikorsky S92 helicopter.

Occasionally duties include using the Synergy database to review and close Cyclic Redundancy - CR IDs and SQARs.

Jan 06 – Mar 07: Unit Test Team Member
Duties were to write and peer-review C and ADA code based upon flow-charts, which were also the de-sign. Once in a while code would include assembly instructions or pseudocode. The unit-tester would run the written code through a compiler which would compare it against the code file and output results actual vs. expected. The projects that involve unittests include, but not limited to IN20, CF34, TP400, GP7200, CF6-82R and T700eecu.
