The project is for a centralized Accounts Payable department in Houston and uses AVRIO OCR scanning software to read and code AP invoices, batch the invoices, and post the entries to the JDEdwards General Ledger. CEMEX, INC., (Cemex merged with Southdown, Inc., 2000) 10/2000 – 11/2008 (International company and 3rd largest US cement, concrete and aggregate supplier). Manager Business Process Evolution, U.S. Operations * Managed 18 month IT turn-key project including vendor sourcing, RFP, contract negotiations, executive presentations and demonstrations to procure GETPAID software used by corporate Credit and Sales Administration departments in managing accounts receivable throughout US and Mexico. Credit and collections reduced days sales outstanding (DSO) by 5-10 days. Additionally, bad debt expense was reduced from $8M to $3M. Managed network engineers and programmers on installation, and directed Project Administrator responsible for Train the Trainer seminars nationally. * Managed 3 month IT effort to secure large Accounts Receivable Securitization program with Bank One Capital Markets, Inc. Coordinated with internal and external attorneys, bankers, controller, treasurer and international consultants.
