ENGINEERING COORDINATOR:
Report to the Director of Engineering department.
Responsible for managing all aspects of the repair and overhaul process routers of accessories and turbine engine components. Managing revisions of OEM manuals and technical engineering documents through Citrix Documentation Control and various computer software. Dallas Airmotive repairs and overhauls eight different turbine engines from four major OEM’s for the General Aviation and Regional Airlines market. Ninety-five percent of all the repairs are performed in-house.

Significant accomplishments include:
• Established online access of engine manuals and technical support documents.
• Assisted in the development and implementation of quality tracking system which allowed the department to track and isolate quality problems during the repair process.
• Played a key role in the selection and successful implementation of an inventory/financial mainframe computer system for the company.
• Provided technical support in repair procedures through Impressa for Inspection and repair process of engine components and accessories.

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Responsible for providing engineering back-up for Product line Engineers and Production Control departments. Production control was responsible for meeting the turn-time requirements for both internal and external customers. Product line engineers are responsible for all engineering support across the plant.
• Managed engine manuals revision process as supported by the OEM through document control system.
• Created and revised engineering support documents, work flow process documents for in-house repairs and those outlined and provided by the OEM’s.
• Assisted in the implementation of a computerized labor collection and job tracking system for the facility. The system was successfully implemented in 5 months
• Designed management reports that provided daily, weekly and monthly status of engine test cell rejects, warranty issues, etc.
• Compiled engine tear-down reports for unscheduled engine repairs for customer service.
• Assisted in Material Review Boards with product line engineers.

• Issued warranty reports on engine defects to support customer service.

ENGINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Reported through the Production Control department, major responsibilities included inspection of engine parts and components to determine serviceability, service bulletin status, and technical instruction requirements. Routing engine parts and components for repair and overhaul through the Shop Operation Control System.

• Disassembled, cleaned, inspected and performed repairs on various models of turbine engines, associated components and modules according to manufacturer requirements and DAI quality procedures.
• Performed preliminary receiving inspection of engines, modules and components using required precision measuring equipments as necessary to determine condition.
• Evaluated engine components per manufacturer criteria with calibrated precision measuring equipment to determine serviceability/reparability.
• Inspected turbine engine components using non-destructive inspection methods such as fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle machinery.
• Utilized DAI controlled documents and computer databases to record pertinent data pertaining to components being inspected.
• Assured that all inspection and repairs are properly performed according to current technical data and all inspection records and forms used by the repair station are properly executed prior to the release and return to service of the product being maintained.
• Researched aircraft and engine logs for current engines times and cycles to determine life limited component status, outstanding FAA Airworthiness Directives and compliance with as directed.
• Ordered replacement parts and required hardware for engines going through repairs and overhaul
