Ms. Sundar led the development of a marketing plan for a sustainable community with a focus on “walk-ability” and concepts in New Urbanism. The design of the project which was a university linked retirement community was aimed at reducing the ecological carbon footprint of the residents. Effectively segmented the target audience and analyzed their requirements and inclination to a less “auto-dependent” community. Presented the findings (which included the needs of the market, advertising strategy and the next steps) to approximately 300 people composed of the stakeholders of the project and potential residents. The deliverable will be used by the property developers and the University of Cincinnati Consortium for Housing to market the community.

Ms. Sundar actively participated in the Graduate International Seminar and Case Study Competition on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Researched current global trends in CSR and bridged them to regional financial institutions in France, with a focus on financial products.

Marketing Capstone Project Intern
Acting in the capacity of an independent consultant, Ms. Sundar developed the marketing strategy to channel a 30% increase in media budget for interactive marketing (including RSS Feeds, Blogs, Video Hosting and Chat Forums). Developed the strategy based on numerous one-on-one interviews with the consumer, quantitative research, market trends and polling. The final recommendation of hosting a chat platform as a tool to promote interaction between the key influencers and the target segment of consumers provided the basis for implementation.

As a part of the team, Ms. Sundar developed an interactive tool for Smith Barney Financial Advisors. The tool served as an interface providing the basis for the initial interaction between the advisors and the clients. Based on a qualitative framework of first interactions, the logic and questions were aimed at better understanding the client’s lifestyle, values, social networks, family and other key factors influencing the priorities and capabilities of the client. The tool was delivered to CitiGroup’s Technical Staff that adapted the design for their use.

Ms. Sundar led and coordinated advertising and marketing efforts to showcase FRCH in the “Indian Design and Interiors” magazine.
