Objective:
I’m looking for any delivery driving positions or any other positions I may be qualified for in the Lake County, IL or Southern, WI areas.
I have recently been layed off from my current driving position, due to the closing of the store I worked at. I currently have a Class B CDL with airbrakes.
Experience:
All aspects of picking-up/dropping off lumber, custom cabinets, doors, etc. to residential/business locations:
- Daily maintenance and safety check of vehicle
- Check material loaded onto the truck against paperwork to ensure accuracy
- Ensure product is properly secured for delivery
- Work closely with the customer to ensure excellent customer service
- Communicate with the dispatcher in the yard and customer to maximize delivery efficiencies and to ensure excellent customer service
- Follow company procedures regarding paperwork
- Follow all company and D.O.T. rules and regulations
- Use of maps / directions to find point of delivery
- Class B CDL with Airbrakes
- Box truck experience
- Experienced in dumping lumber loads
- Experienced in building lumber loads
- Experienced with shipping & receiving
- Forklift Operator Certified
Driver/Landscaper
- Locate destination on map and drive to all job sites
- Mowing, edging and weedeating
- Fertilizing and spraying
- Weeding
Manufacturer of Cables and Hoses
- Made cables for trucks/tractors
- Made hydraulic and air pressure hoses for trucks/tractors
Education:
- Summer 2001, Home Schooling for CDL with Air Brakes (Class B License). Received license in 2001
- April 1990, Completed Basset Program (Alcohol Awareness Program), College of Lake County
- June 1986, Completed Welding Certificate Course at Davia Center, Addison, Illinois
