April Oliver
1028 Plainview Dr.
Madisonville, KY 42431

February 20, 2009

To Whom It May Concern:

I bring over five years experience in customer service, as well as a strong educational background at Asbury College, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and Sullivan University, where I received my Post-Baccalaureate in Paralegal Studies. I believe I could make a significant contribution working for you. I am currently an Administrative Assistant for Child Care Council of KY. As an Administrative Assistant for the Child Care Assistant Program, I assist two case workers in the Winchester office. I answer phones, fax paperwork, talk with clients and providers, schedule appointments, file and copy, work closely with both of the case workers, and record client information. As a paralegal at Jeff Moore Law Office & Mediation Services I drafted legal documents, interviewed clients, answered phones, and made copies. As a paralegal intern, at Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, I interviewed clients, filed, organized cases, drafted legal documents, and brought a helping hand to the office of attorneys and paralegals. I worked with the SHIP Coordinator at Legal Aid of the Bluegrass as well. I interviewed clients who are in need of assistance regarding their health insurance with Medicare and Medicaid. Working with the SHIP Coordinator, I had the opportunity to reach out to people who were in need of help and gave them the assistance they needed to resolve any problems with their health insurance.

I have also developed topics for articles, interviewed members of the community, and
written articles for The Lexington Herald-Leader and Speaking Out Magazine. This provided a platform in which I could raise the level of customer service and interpersonal skills for a business environment. I have acquired excellent time management skills, skill in detail, self-motivation, customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, people skills, as well as great interviewing skills through my education and experiences in both of these areas of study. I believe my expertise in these areas would be of particular value in meeting the challenges of this position.

My resume summarizes the full range of my skills and qualifications. I would appreciate the opportunity for a personal interview. Feel free to contact me at (859) 274-5239 or amoliver@live.com.

Thank you for your consideration,

Sincerely,

April Oliver
