My most recent experience as the VP of SALES for my current firm (1991 to Present) includes managing a territory with $275MM in sales volume and represent 48 manufacturers. Experienced in building sales and developing new business, I have been successful in:
* Spearheading development and institution of a sales / service personnel incentive program resulting in higher-than-forecasted sales figures and larger-than-anticipated revenues / commissions. Additionally, program significantly reduced employee turnover, bolstered job performance ratings, and attracted higher quality job candidates from competitors. Incentive program still in place after 8 years.
* Pioneering more effective accounting system for tracking compensation / commissions due from 78 different manufacturers. Regional Manager / Service Representative Trainer * 1994 to 1995 * Promoted to manage territory consisting of >30 Home Depot retail store locations, representing >$45MM in annual sales volume and generating approximately $2MM in company revenues / commissions. Territory supported by 6 sales / service representatives located throughout Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. * Executed mission-critical workforce development and leadership role: -- Managed all aspects of the employment process for new sales / service representatives, from interviewing applicants, conducting initial training, and enforcing company standards, policies and procedures through to daily network communications, conducting store visits and determining disciplinary or termination actions. * Forecast territory future growth and created territory re- alignment strategies when needed.
