Maintained responsibility for all departments and overall functioning of the non-profit history museum Reported to the Board of Directors, accomplishing Museum goals through the overall supervision and coordination of a professional and support staff (3 full-time, 1 part-time), area history consultants, and up to 50 volunteers.
* Identified, developed, and implemented exhibits and programs for children and adults of all ages.
* Helped solidify corporate sponsorship partners and foundation opportunities, handling all aspects of grant writing and administration of grant funds.
* Prepared, with input from the staff, and monitored $155,000 annual budget.
* Oversaw proper and timely financial transactions and assisted the volunteer bookkeeper when necessary.
* Directed the creation of professional documents such as the Collections Management file, Interpretative Plan, Code of Ethics, and Disaster Plan.
* Planned, coordinated and implemented events for as few as 10 people and as many as 1500 people.
* Managed all aspects of purchasing and procurement for the museum and the gift shop.
Additionally spent seven years serving as Auditor for the Doctors Service Bureau, a medical billing company.
