Responsible for daily operations and effectiveness of over 70 full-time production workers. Oversaw the
Manufacturing processes involved with making passive interconnects and electrical test lead assemblies.
Worked with both state-side and off-shore supply base to negotiate material purchases and delivery schedules.
Responsible for all disciplinary measures throughout the plant; the company’s safety program, development of
performance standards, employee appraisals and reviews, implementation of cost accounting practices, ISO

patterns, restructured production scheduling, introduced improved materials procurement and planning
procedures, and reduced indirect labor staffing by 25%.

DJ/Nypro Inc., Louisville, KY 5/00-9/01

Value Added Manufacturing (VAM) Manager, Midwestern Region North America
Responsible for new product introduction of contact manufacturing and automation within Nypro’s midwestern
region, consisting of seven facilities. Direct reports included automation and mechanical engineers.
Performed all quoting activity (labor estimates, line layouts/equipment selection and plant selection
recommendations) for contract manufacturing or molding that required secondary operations. Worked extensively
with new facility in southern KY to set-up new manufacturing lines
and establish methods. Assisted Account Teams with various aspects of program management on large accounts
(including design review of tooling drawings, new product launches, packaging specification requirements,
etc.).
Directed the fully automated integration of injection molding/over-molding technology with multi-component
assembly and decorative printing of the P&G "Rollerball" program.
Directed the efforts of outside/inside programmers and operations to tailor a web-based solution for real-time
access to approvals, benchmarks, cycle accuracy and cost analysis for customer programs.

Beach Mold & Tool, Inc., New Albany, IN 6/92-5/00

Project Manager/Engineer (1/99-Present)
Responsible for the sustaining engineering, methods documentation, cost reduction initiatives, EC
implementation and customer interaction required to successfully maintain a multi-million dollar customer
account. Primary activities included; assisting in customer design reviews, managing the procurement of
purchased components and tooling, implementing and recommending tooling revisions, designing and implementing
assembly line layout, procuring all secondary equipment, troubleshooting molding issues and recommending
corrective actions, acquiring and tracking all necessary costing information required for quoting and
assisting quality engineering in functions related to new product introduction.
Successfully oversaw the program launch of Compaq’s "next generation" docking station line.
Designed and implemented an innovative packaging solution for Compaq that reduced transit and warehousing cost
by over $8.00 per unit while increasing our internal profitability by 20%.

Manufacturing / Development Engineer (8/96-1/99)
Responsible for the New Product Introduction of (3) major accounts including Dell, Compaq, and HP.
Responsible for managing (2) Industrial Engineers and the ATS (Auxiliary Technical Support) department, which
served an engineering and maintenance support function to the assembly department. The ATS staff maintained
all secondary equipment throughout the plant and performed the research and development (R&D) as needed for
all new projects requiring any secondary equipment or automation. Developed line layouts, performed time
studies, specified automated equipment and designed and built secondary machines and fixtures.
Assisted in the successful start-up of the Texas facility and the integration of sheet metal stamping with
plastic mold injection processes for several projects.
