Seventeen years have been devoted to creating and growing an independent manufacturers sales agency.

Manufacturers represented include: P. & J. Haggarts Ltd., of Aberfeldy, Scotland. The oldest weaver (200 years old) and manufacturers of the most exclusive Scottish Estate Tweeds. Clothing included a complete collection of high end Sportswear for both men and women. Customers developed include, Paul Stuart, Liberty Tree, Griffin & Howe, J. Press plus many of the finest Men’s Specialty Retailers/Haberdashers in the East. Took the company from 2 accounts domestically to well over 100 accounts and sales volume of over 400,000.00.

Responsibilities included the ground floor development of this product range, from garment design and fabrics to setting wholesale and suggested retail pricing. Arranged trade shows for the “NY Collective”, Magic, Shot Show, Boston Collective, the Charlotte NC, and the Philadelphia Collective Show. Created the development and selection of the core collection. This included; both dress and casual shirts, neckwear, hosiery, knitwear, headwear. Additional responsibilities included merchandising, trunk shows, and the development of catalogs, mailing pieces, and the photography. Recruitment of 7 additional sales people. Income derived on a commission only basis.

Redington LLC, Stuart, Florida. The fourth largest manufacturer of fine fly fishing tackle and accessories in the world. Because the buying seasons were opposed to the clothing industry, it was possible to add this line of product to our overall mix. The relationship with the company has lasted for 10 years. I personally took the company from 6 accounts in the Mid-Atlantic region to over 200 accounts; the initial territory included 7 states with 2 accounts. Ultimately the increase in business demanded the territory be split. There are well over 100 accounts in the remaining 3 state territory. Income derived on a commission only basis.

We provided service to many other companies, they are too numerous to mention here.

Prior experience:
Includes 25 years of sales and sales management with an IT division of General Electric. With management of some 50 people, my responsibilities included working with larger fortune 500 corporations, including Xerox, GE, AT&T, United Airlines, and Phillips Petroleum. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, client development, maintaince of both client and staff, recruitment of staff. Through this period I was specifically responsible for the management of the Rochester, NY office, Dallas, TX office and the Orlando, FL office of the company. This IT Company began its corporate journey as Programming Methods Inc, was then acquired by GT&E. A new company was formed, Lambda Technology (LTI), was sold to GE, became General Electric Information Services Company. With LTI became a Director of New Business. From this base, our core management, created Trecom Business Systems. This was ultimately sold to Amdahl Corporation.

It was at this time that I chose to move in another direction and founded The Founders Group Ltd.

Prior to this experience in the Consulting Industry, had founded Botal Associates, a technical and executive search firm located in NYC. Was, with my partner responsible for the creation of this company and its initial success. These included client development, search tasks to fulfill contract assignments, training of staff
