Objective: Professional interpreter, translator, and/or teacher seeking to obtain a position utilizing my extensive knowledge of Arabic, Kurdish, and English.
Experience: 2000-2004 Kurdish Special forces 2004-2005 Iraqi Army (Scout ) ( IA ) 2005-2007 Interpreter, translator and cultural advisor for the US Army 3rd Brigade, Special Police Transition Team, Civilian Police Assistance Transition Team and 3d Brigade, 1st National Police Division Transition Team, Iraq Assistance Group. Interpreter for the 3d Brigade SPTT and NPTT Team Chief; interpreting senior level meetings between Iraq Ministry of Interior Security Forces senior commanders and U.S. Army commanders to include operations orders, briefings, training, and day to day operations. Served as cultural advisor to U.S. Army personnel on Arabic culture, customs, courtesy, and language when interfacing with their Iraqi counterparts. Served as a primary interpreter for training Iraqi National Police (Special Police Commando) on individual and collective tasks, small arms operations, intelligence, and detainee operations. Possess thorough knowledge of Coalition and Iraqi military terminology and jargon. Translate Arabic documents to English and English to Arabic for meetings, distribution, phone Conversation, or daily interaction between the forces. Additional duties included participating in patrolling and combat operations/actions with Coalition and Iraq Security Forces. Working currently DOD contractor as Language and Culture Specialist Recruiting and outreaching for National Guard Bureau (NGB)
