Summary of Qualifications
More than ten years experience performing a wide range of housekeeping/custodial maintenance duties in city operated facilities such as, homeless shelters, assessment centers, and similar emergency assistance facilities. Routine responsibilities included heavy cleaning, minor repairs, and providing sanitary conditions for residents, maintaining/monitoring front desk and lobby activities, preparing and serving meals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working within deadlines, ability to function in a fast-pace environment.
Relevant Experience • Cleaned offices, residents’ rooms/apartments, corridors, bathrooms, and other common areas. • Swept, mopped, stripped and waxed floors. • Emptied waste baskets and trash receptacles. • Dusted furniture, washed windows, walls, bed frames, mattresses, etc. • Washed and distributed linen, food items and various supplies. • Performed minor plumbing and building repairs, replaced light bulbs and fuses. • Operated power equipment such as wet and dry vacuums, buffers, polishers, and snow blowers. • Transported heavy appliances, furniture and equipment, removed debris and snow from sidewalk. • Assisted in unloading deliveries, supplies, and other materials, maintained/stocked all storage rooms. • Answered phones, directed calls, greeted, announced and assisted visitors. • Maintained records of residents’ attendance, issued rooms keys, ensured all visitor’ signed in/out. • Served/prepared food to residents in shelter environment removed dishes and stacked trays after meals. • Cleaned and sterilized dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, and facilities.
