Experience: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WELLS CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, San Francisco, California • 2006 – 2008 Subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Company. Asset management firm administering $200B in institutional client assets ($25B SMA’s) and generating $300M in annual revenue.
Vice President, Group Area Manager of Trading Operations Led strategic initiatives and trading operations to ensure expert execution of all transactions across foreign and domestic equities, fixed income securities, futures, REPO, term loans, and complex OTC derivatives. Partnered with global operations to complete large-scale initiatives. Supervised staff of 26 across two centralized sites to support investment teams nationwide. Monitored and controlled all phases of trading flow, from order management systems (Bloomberg POMS and CRD) through industry and proprietary settlements applications, and processed exceptions in compliance with strict deadlines.
Conducted post-settlement activities including collateral management, P&I reconciliation, MBS factor updates, interest rate resets, and document / ISDA contract management. Resolved critical issues in collaboration with brokers and custodians, and investigated, remedied, and reported trade errors across firm according to review protocol. Led investment proposal and funding processes for major projects, and leveraged resources to ensure adequate coverage and uninterrupted service to business partners.
Major Contributions: •Oversaw over 100,000 trade allocations totaling $600B in securities per month. •Reduced fail rate by more than 75%, from 2.0% to under 0.5%, by streamlining processes to improve accuracy and departmental ability to meet deadlines. •Achieved error-free record for delivering transactions through implementation of effective policies, control protocols, and staff accountability. •Boosted in-house productivity by outsourcing labor-intensive term loan activities. •Increased productivity by implementing a workflow system for mortgage-backed securities.

Vice President, Fixed Income and Specialized Products Division • 2001 – 2006 Launched and led Specialized Products & Services department serving high net-worth clients, RIAs, and corporate officers, customizing solutions in alignment with client needs. Managed fixed income project team, and allocated $5M-$7M annual project budget to support systems development and workflow process improvements. Led the strategic planning for 6 consecutive years of “record” revenue growth.
Oversaw fixed income trading operations, including trade execution, support, exceptions and reporting activities. Led equity syndicate team to facilitate distribution of IPOs as selling group member of consortium with TD Waterhouse and Ameritrade and exclusive retail distributor for Goldman Sachs. Vice President, Finance, Marketing and Project Management • 1999 – 2001 Managed finance operations across the Fixed Income division which included budgeting, forecasting, trend analysis, and metrics tracking activities. Conducted local marketing campaigns in targeted geographic areas in collaboration with internal distribution channels and business partners.
Oversaw technology initiatives in support of strategic business objectives, including workflow systems, Intranet design and implementation, training and portfolio tools, client statements, and customized reporting services for premier clients. Built and developed project management team of 6.
