Seeking a full time position as a Certified Phlebotomy Tech. (CPTI)/Medical Laboratory Technician.

-Assisting Phlebotomy/MLA professor in a 240+ hour Certified Phlebotomy Tech. (CPTI/MLA) didactic course.
-Assist the professor and oversee students daily with:
• Quality phlebotomy techniques for venous/capillary blood collection via syringe, vacutainer, butterfly, and microtainer methods.
• Point of Care Testing (POCT), and use of all relevant laboratory equipment.
• Theory & practical training, tutoring for the students, records keeping, and supply requisitions.
Practical Training Phlebotomist/MLA 2005
Kaiser “Zion” Permanente:
-Responsible for performing daily:
• Skilled venous and capillary blood collection techniques via vacutainer, syringe, butterfly, and microtainer methods for both Inpatient and Outpatient.
• Time and diet sensitive specimen collections as well as practicing special handling techniques for preparing and processing specimens.

Military Entrance Processing Station:
-Responsible for:
• Daily collections of blood specimens for HIV testing on all potential candidates, via vacutainer, and butterfly methods. Performing Quality Control (QC) for packaging and shipping of specimens according to USMEPCOM regulations.
• Assisting with HCG tests, glucose testing, audio/visual acuity and physical exams, BP and pulse.

Grossmont Health Occupations Center ROP Certificate 2005
Completed 8 month didactic course for Certified Phlebotomy Tech. (CPT I)/Medical Lab Technician. Included: 6 months of intense theory, and 240+ hours of hands on practical training. Received overall grade of A (91.8%).
