I’m writing this letter and offering to you my portfolio in order to address a few important and practical matters dealing with becoming your Production Designer. I want to make myself more available throughout the New York Feature Film and TV industry. My Production Designs are engaging when they are absorbed and distilled by the minds of others. It is my deep desire to share my artistic vision with more people on a much broader level. My Production Design is crafted by the passionate and practical magic of my intuitive mind’s eye. My work to date has made bold steps in the direction of demonstrating that my concepts and design can attract an audience, can hold, thrill and can create a hunger for more.
My creative nature as a disciplined artist offers limitless possibilities to a project. Production Design is an art form in which space is given and taken, claimed in the hearts of the audience, whose lives revolve around a hundred, large and small decisions that affect, in turn, the lives of us all. Production Design offers us “Windows” through which we discover larger and more generous ways of being ourselves, seeing the authentic storylines of life and increasing understanding throughout our world. I build on a true dialogue of passion, vision and personal philosophy; a relationship of image and insight that places my designing abilities, foresight and aesthetic storytelling talents at the center of a lively society.

~Artist Statement...
There is unbelievable detail, frozen moments in time brilliantly crafted within my work as a contemporary Designer. I strive for my Production Design to capture us all, It is a true pleasure to enjoy the gift of storytelling that is further focused through the precision of my mind’s eye. The detail is excellent, lovely past, present and future elements of aesthetic awareness, modern designs that will look and command attention wherever they are placed…Bold, beautiful visuals develop “Pre, Post and During” the production process, I finish every design to the last detail bringing brilliance to each piece, director, art department and production company, one of a kind works of visual storytelling art. My entire collection of unique designs, renderings and drafting are engaging and striking, each conceptualization, a feast for the eyes. One of my trademarks has been an established tradition of meeting and exceeding most established conventional perceptions of how to design, truly utilize a budget, communicate with everyone and enjoy all the people you work around, with, for…Together, all doing what hasn't been done and now must.
My Production Design emerges through a layering of visual consciousness, awareness and ability to express and communicate my knowledge, which is further guided by a director’s vision and the script in which space is given and claimed in the minds and hearts of a audience, who’s lives revolve around a daily inundation and saturation of a hundred large and small layers of life, that impact the lives of us all. Every design, a piece of modern art, extraordinary in some respects, majestic with a flair for storytelling and for that which is possible.
Often we find security with putting limits on something…As artists we are able to control what happens in the studio, shop and on location, having no limitation of the creative mind, gives us that rare sense of security. We must preserve a sanctuary for the joy of our artistic exploration as well as developing true originality and style. Expressing my passion through my art is essential to its creation…As Production Design is possibly one of the truest, last “Free Ranges” for the spirit and soul of our human continuation and quite possibly one of the last direct expressions of individual existence.
In the “World of Production Design”…We learn how to release ourselves through a natural creative flow of energy. Throughout our day-to-day life and our day-to-day work in the studio there really are very few limits...As artists, we constantly strive to find the beginning, middle and closure for our creative journey through the production process. Our work becomes extention of ourselves along with our own individual identity as the creator, which is a primary element in my work. As Designers, we create art and share the joy of its existence, an appreciation of what it is, what it means and what it communicates. We come to appreciate Production Design in such a way that it offers us of an instant flow of choices, time and energy. For each piece we must decide upon solutions which seem endless and continue to reinvent themselves, until we the Production Designer, choose to make the tough decisions and follow through, no matter what, we must persevere.
Production Designing is also able to addresses difficult questions, concepts and events in ways that enlarge perception evoke emotion and offer a deeper understanding of our collective as well as individual human experience. My concepts are highly engaging once absorbed and distilled by Directors, Directors of Photography, Producers, Art Directors, Gaffers, Carpenters, Craftsmen, Actors, Artists and Film Crews, then presented in a finished, polished visually .” My Production Designs create a heightened sense of aesthetic awareness within the story line so that an audience will collectively have similar high level visual experiences, offering insight, unique prospective and awareness of the story line...What I offer emerges through my dedicated efforts, collaborative Art departments, further disciplined by my devoted professional work ethic and guided by my passionate and practical artistic Designer magic, then brought into the life of a production, along with my creative gifts.
I have developed my skills under many well-known Directors, Production Designers, Art Directors, Producers, Prop Masters, Set Decorators and Dressers, for years he has worked away in studios and on location crafting designs and visuals influenced by an infinite number of experiences and research. My inspiration also comes from nature, the real, as well as mythical. Creation is in the soul, it's what I am. Every concept is a intrinsic sensation, a vision, an appreciation of what we have been given with every new project. I am often amazed with the beauty and possibilities of designing for a new production. My Design is an art form of intellectual understanding and expression. Production Design offers us windows through which we find deeper and more genuine in ways of telling the human tale. My work is further structured by my intuitive mind’s eye and given tangible finite form by my passion. I take great pride in every individual piece and project. I develop relationships with others as well as my craft based on a dialog that begins first with the story and characters, then apply my own conceptual truths, artistic talents and gifts,in such a way that produces images that place my concepts at the center of a lively society.
I also design and sculpt Wizards and Mirrors each one based on someone the artist met, or from a mystical vision experienced while meditating. The emotion in the faces of my Wizards is astonishing. Each Wizard and Mirror says something about whom we are, how we feel and that we are alive. I also work with a medium I half discovered and half developed, which I call sculpture paint I find true fulfillment and joy when someone sees the beauty of my effort and makes it their own. I’m a Designer of impressionist treatment but of expressionistic concept, which exhibits itself in my ability to adapt to continuous change and transition of script and storyline. I’ve also written several full length feature film scripts and inspirational books. My Production Designing is for real film, theater and TV lovers, my energy and enthusiasm will enrich your entire production as it has for countless others.

As a professional working Production Designer I choose to create work that communicates the essence of a story. I invite the audience to experience visually that which all furs a more intimate connection with the storyline, characters and settings. I learned and refined my trade under many well-known Production Designers, Directors and Art Directors; I’ve worked in studios and on location for over a decade. Every Design is a series of images, a layering of emotions and sensations, an appreciation for the script at the heart of a piece. I'm always thrilled to design for a new production, with the energy and possibilities of creating new pieces, sets, looks and textures, comes the inspiration and passion to pull off the extraordinary. I have mastered the craft of design by concentrating my efforts, staying focused on my strengths and exercise my weakness until they become strengths, then focus my energies learning from my experiences, set backs and set forwards, then I apply what I’ve learned until it becomes through repetition and practice until eventully these elements become my nature…My style brings together the past, present and future, reality with fiction.
Film, Theater and TV are able to address difficult questions, concepts and events in ways that expand human interpretation and evoke emotion. My designs are entertaining and engaging, when they are absorbed and distilled by the creative process, then by the hearts and minds of a clever audience. I offer the opportunities, to succeed and surpass most given expectations and elevate the intrinsic visual elements of storytelling, of a production process and of a storyline to a heightened sense of a unique astettic awareness, prospective and relationship. I create with a rhythm of intuition, which is articulated by my attention to detail and application of my powers of observation, which are all transmitted into the work and energy it generates. I have mastered an infinite number of methods to knock on the door of an endless creative energy source and have developed the wisdom to tap into and channel this universal force...A seamless fusion of emotion, intellect with storytelling passion fueling its creation and giving it purpose. I pour in as much of myself into each unique challenge. I articulate its meaning, bringing life to the image and giving it my ambitious drive. My work offers links between ourselves and the spiritual truths that live within us, all of which supplies the pulse for my work.
My plan is to effectively reach large global audiences that can relate to my work on their own personal as well as collective level. I instinctively design only inviting the viewer in, to interact with the story more intimately. I’m on a constant quest to provide my creative gifts with those special people out there and to share my sense for telling a story, visually. I began Designing after classical training in the arts while acquiring a BFA from, George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. I take great pride in my abilities and craftsmanship. Originally from the Virginia~DC area, I currently live in NYC by way of Denver, Colorado. Life is precious, I embrace the arts in my lifestyle and professional life, it is a gift and we should absorb every moment, every drop, taste from every cup, enjoying all the spontaneous adventures that life throws our way. Always cherish surprises and spur of the moment adventures and most of all, laughter. I see people from the inside out, never judging a book by its cover. Every morning a priceless reminder that we have been blessed with another day.... Live as today were our last, one day it shall. For many years I've been investing all my time working, striving to love, honor and respect my creative abilities, as well as having a blast with all life has to offer...I long to fill life with my Production Design as well as my love and passion for the Arts, offering a sense of belonging and for that which is dear to the heart.
My work offers the opportunity to find oneself connected to ourselves and our lives in such a way that wakes us and holds us so high and strong that any previous version of ourselves now seems flimsy and diluted. The truth is simple; every single one of us has a chance to do something big with our lives and by waking up to this potential and acting on it, amazing things happen; to other people, to ourselves and to our world. Not many of us will cure any diseases or slay any dragons, but every single one of us, is called to be a king, a queen, a hero in our everyday, ordinary lives. I don't create design to worship the exceptional life; I create them to remind ourselves what is possible in our own. Production Design allows me the ability to share dreams, fears, wants and desires with images that flow so easily, that understanding my Art will be as natural as a wind blown leaf in the mist of autumn. I long for the freedom and liberty my craft offers, my work an extension of me and that we are as one... So that we may never loose ourselves but gain true insight of fellow human beings through a mutual respect, admiration and loyalty that is built upon trust and friendship...Through my work is created the vivid bond of unspoken words that can speak novels of understanding, sharing information based on open minded communication, offering a wealth of insight and joy to endure for all times.
