Dear Hiring Manager:
Thanks for the opportunity to apply for a Senior Management position with your company. I was employed as a JC Partner in the Southeast traveling much of the USA for the last three years, and I can say that this provided an opportunity to appreciate a well run company while improving my skills by working directly with over 100 associates and traveling across the Southeast working with 19 individual stores with some being a free standing home store. The responsibility for display, training as well as some hiring rested with me for close to 40 million in sales on an annual basis. I held seminars using power point presentations all across the US increasing my exposure to hundreds more partners providing leadership and motivation along with very important information about skills or up coming events. My position of Furniture Field Sales Manager for the Southeast Territory was eliminated with the project import restructure on June 26, 2008 due to corporate down sizing.
I bring over 21 years of Furniture and Retail Management experience from some of the top companies in the USA. The experience gained over the years in Human Resources, Facility Management, Inventory Control, and Retail Display along with Personal Coaching and Diversity Management will provide the needed skills to improve the stores operations and control expenses which will allow more profits to flow to the stores bottom line. The Customers Satisfaction theory will be put in to practice which will take us past just the expected and usual customer service.
I look forward to discussing further my commitment to perform at a high level as I have thus far in my retail career. I would welcome a meeting as soon as possible at the location of your choosing. I would also encourage you to speak to Steve Dinkins, VP of Furniture, or any District Manager, Store Manager or other Associate concerning my abilities and skills displayed on behalf of the JC Penney Company over the last three years. I can provide a list of names and phone numbers for your convenience for personal & business references. Thanks in advance for consideration in this important company decision.
