Objective:
I graduated from Lock Haven High School in Lock Haven, Pa in 1994. After six years of floating from one part-time job to another for six years, I decided to enroll in the radiography program at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in August of 2000.
I graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in December of 2002. My GPA while in school was a 2.7. While in school, I had two part-time jobs. One was at Centre Community Hospital in State College, PA. This was also my clinical site for my schooling. I also worked at Lock Haven Hospital in Lock Haven, PA. These were both positions as a tech-aide, and mostly consisted of weekend. I worked full-time at Lock Haven Hospital after graduation from December of 2002, through April of 2003. I also took my registry examination for the A.R.R.T. in March of 2003, scoring an 86. In June of 2003 I started work as a radiologic technologist at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. While there I gained valuable experience at a level one trauma center. I also became a very reliable technologist that would cover any extra shifts or holidays whenever possible. During my three years of employment as a general diagnostic technologist, I worked as much, if not more overtime, than approximately 20 other technologist combined. I also worked 16 hour shifts on a large majority of holidays. In March of 2006, a position in C.T. became available. I applied and got the position with a start date of June 12th, 2006. My training for the C.T. position lasted about 5 months. The scanners at Geisinger consisted of a 16-slice GE lightspeed and a 64-slice GE. There was also an older modeled Picker that was rarely used for C.T.s of the brain, this was the scanner where a large majority of the interventional procedures were done. After my initial training, I was mostly working from 3:00 PM until 11:00 PM. After a few months I was placed on a position of 4:00 PM until 12:00 AM to assist the third shift technologist. On average, the second shift C.T. department at Geisinger scanned 40-50 patients per shift between the 16 and 64 slice scanners. The patients consisted of outpatients until 9:00 PM, ER patients including traumas, and inpatients. The inpatients included patients from adult intensive care, post-operative, and pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, and also general inpatients. After my training was complete, I assumed the role I had in general diagnostic, working several shifts of overtime, as well as covering 24 hour call on a majority of holidays. During the latter part of 2007 and into early 2008, I realized that the simple rural Pennsylvania life wasn't doing it for me anymore. I decided to move to Orlando, FL, where I have several friends. I gave my resignation at Geisinger in mid December 2007, three and a half months before my last day on March 28, 2008

CT Technologist
Geisinger Medical Center in 100 N. Academy Dr., Danville, PA 17822
June 2006 to March 2008
I started training for C.T. at Geisinger in June 2006. My training lasted until mid November of 2006. After my training, I worked 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with four other technologists and an aide who organized the scheduling and setting up patients who needed to be orally prepped for abdomen/pelvis scans. Shortly after training I took a 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM position to enable a smoother transition from 2nd to 3rd shift. On average, 2nd shift would scan 40 patients between 2 scanners, ocassionally doing closer to 50. Patients at Geisinger consisted of outpatients until 9:00 PM. ER patients, including trauma patients. We also scanned a majority of the inpatients that needed scanned. Among these included patients from the Adult ICU, Cardiac ICU, and the Pediatric and Neonatal ICU's. The scans on 2nd shift consisted of everything we were capable of scanning. These included PE studies and a large number of CT angiograms. I have limited experience with cardiac and coronary imaging, as a large majority of these were done on 1st shift. Also, we had 1 technologist on 2nd who did a large majority of the 3D imaging because she was trained at the Milwaukee GE facility. My main responsibility was if there was a patient to be scanned, get the patient scanned as efficiently and quickly as possible. I also seemed to be the technologist who would scan a majority of patients that were in isolation of some kind. While employed in CT at Geisinger, I worked a large majority of holidays and covered weekends when the weekend technologist would have vacation. My manager in C.T. was Ronald Dutzer and he can be reached at (570)271-6502

General Diagnostic Radiographer
Geisinger Medical Center in 100 N. Academy Dr., Danville, PA 17822
June 2003 to June 2006
My work at Geisinger consisted mainly of second shift employment. This included outpatients, ER patients(including trauma),portables and post-operative patients. The technologists from the orthopeadic clinic covered all c-arm and surgical imaging. Worked anywhere from 200-500 hours of overtime during each of my 3 years of employment. This included most holidays. I also worked with several students who would pick-up evening shifts while in school. My manager in general diagnostic was Tim Phillips and he can be reached at (570)271-8066.

General Radiographer
Lock Haven Hospital in 24 Cree Dr., Lock Haven, PA 17745
August 2001 to April 2003
My job at Lock Haven Hospital consisted of being a tech-aide during school and general diagnostic radiology after graduating. Lock Haven Hospital was a small rural hospital, but I gained some experience that helped at my job at Geisinger. Also, working there while I was a student greatly increased my confidence in my abilities as a technologist
