Project Lead
1) Hammer File automation program (Self Initiated Six sigma project)
The PMC/ESR team runs the PMC-Hammer file generation program every Monday and sends the report to the Services-Metrics team manually. It is observed that the current process is really time consuming and the metrics team receives the reports 2-3 days late. This increases the penalties paid by GEHC to their customers for not attending the Compliances. There is a clear opportunity for reducing time wasted, thereby reducing the penalties paid by GEHC as well as enabling the On time delivery.
Benefits.
-Time taken to generate the hammer File has been drastically reduced to 1.5% from an average of 20.33 Hours to the current average of 20 Minutes.
-On time delivery of the hammer File instead of 2-3 days delay.
-Automating the task has reduced Manpower billing by $2692.8 per year
-On time delivery of the Hammer file has resulted in $50000 savings on penalty for not attending the defects on time.
-Total Economic benefits of approximately $ 52692.8 per year
2) Echecklist
GE Healthcare is a leader in the diagnostic medical imaging and biotechnology supply industry. Echecklist application helps the Field engineers to upload the checklist to the system. Once an installation or PM has been debriefed, a new checklist must be completed using the Echecklist application. The Echecklist can be completed off-line and saved in the XML format. When the FSE connects to the network, and opens the application, the application will automatically submit and validate all checklists saved as complete, and will also auto-update the application to the latest
3) Echecklist (Reporting)
Echecklist reporting application helps GE managers to review and approve the entries done by the Field engineers. This helps to tack the activities of the field engineers and make customer satisfaction.

Education:
4) PMC/ESR
The PMC/ESR System is a kind of Data management reporting tool for middle & higher-level GEMS management personnel. The reports are displayed on the Intranet on the PMC website. Data to PMC database is uploaded from the mainframe systems (Cares) weekly. Planned Maintenance Compliance/ Electronic Service Reporting involves calculation & reporting of compliance percentages over the Intranet for the use of GEMS management. This information is vital as in it keeps the management aware of whether the levels of compliance, as decided under contract with the customer. PMC website does calculations for GE customer and provide compliance reports for 766 facilities.
ESR sends out reports about service (maintenance) carried out on DI equipment, to the recipients (GE customers) who have been authorized to receive these reports. The two types of reports are
i) Daily Service Reports.
The Daily Service Reports are generated for DI equipment based on information from closed cases, which relate to this equipment

ii) Monthly Summary Reports
The MonthSR program creates reports by billing account. All actions on equipment under a particular BA for the specified month are included in the Monthly Summary and sent to the authorized recipients by email or fax.
5) Claracle
Claracle facilitates the users to transact orthopedic parts and update corresponding information between two databases. A database is also maintained for storing the information of all these transactions. This application deals with three databases - two in Oracle and one Clarify (SQL Server). The Claracle application was built to eliminate variance in transactional value between Oracle and Clarify databases. Various reports are also available in the application.
6) Logacle
Logacle is the application, which GE OEC depends on to transfer forecasting information from the Clarify database to Oracle (inventory) so that manufacturing is aware of pending orders.
