Twenty years manufacturing production experience overall. • Experienced in implementing successful quality management systems in a variety of manufacturing/production disciplines. In depth familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100,QS9000, ISO14000. Former RAB Lead Auditor. • Proven ability to utilize Lean/Six Sigma techniques to substantially reduce waste and improve efficiencies. • Demonstrated proficiency in organizational improvement concepts at all levels utilizing nationally recognized methodologies including Baldrige and Shingo Award Processes. Past examiner for the Texas Award for Performance Excellence. --------------------------------------- Director Of Quality/EHS/Facilities, Associated Air Center, Dallas, TX Responsible for all quality/environmental health and safety related activities for the company. This includes maintaining the Quality Management System, organizational metrics, continuous improvement activities, as well as day to day QC/QA leadership. o Implemented an ISO9000 compliant quality Management System, successfully ready for registration in 10 months. o Coordinated the definition of the complete value stream from customer contract to product shipment. o Assigned the responsibility as the companies “change manager” to complete a 14 month organizational re-definition to support a 70% increase in capacity. The actual change netted a better than 100% capacity improvement. o Initiated the companies Project Management Office, developed all procedures and policies based on the PMP PMBOK, recruited and trained an expanded Project Management Team. o Initiated an organizational lean/continuous improvement process. Successfully completed an overall 5s campaign, along with eight lean/six sigma projects representing a reduction of overall cycle time of 15% netting a savings of 1.5 million dollars to the bottom line. o Successfully upgraded the quality group from a traditional QC only centralized organization to a distributed resource group integrated into the production organization. Changed the culture to be that of a “production owned quality” mindset vs. a “quality oversight” mindset. The process increased the companies quality rate to 98% from 81%. Received “Supplier of the year” recognition from the company’s principal customer Borg Warner. o Initiated a corporate wide performance improvement initiative through a local area quality consortium.
