Objective: Seeking an organization to utilize and expand my 20 years technical experience in programming, analysis, design, and technical support.
Experience: From 2000 to Present: Habitat for Humanity: Work with asp.net (previously clasic asp). We use SQL server backend for this system. We also interface with a donor management system using and Oracle database.
Also during this time designed and code a contact management system utilizing PHP and mysql for a fair trade coffee cooperative.
1987 - 2000 Sunguard Inc. Work as a IBM mainframe programmer utilizing COBOL, MVS and CICS. Supported a package call CSSII which is utilized by Companies such as Disney, Southern California Edison, Hawaiian Electric as well as several special conversion project for CitiBank and Bank of New York.
1985 - 1986 US Sprint. My position here was to provide software support and maintenance for a telemarketing system running on a Wang VS100
1983 -1984 Consultec Inc. Using COBOL, VSAM and CICS, we designed a system used by the State of New Mexico’s case workers in managing their case loads
1981 - 1983 Bendix Corp. At the Bendix Manufacturing plant I assisted in the support and development of both work in progress and budget systems.

Skills: Over the last 25 years I have worked with a series of companies providing new software development, existing software support and direct customer support. My direct customer support has included developing educational training sessions for new software products as well as assistance in trouble shooting customer complaints encountered from the use of our software.
Currently I work in the non profit area and have gained experience in fund raising and donor management.
Previously I worked mainly in the securities industries maintaining the software utilized by several major corporations for both stock and bond security instruments. I have also worked for corporations in the telecommunications and manufacturing fields. In these endeavors I have been responsible for the development and maintenance software packages in all phases of the software life cycle.
In addition to mainframe programming, I have recently gained experience in web site development and maintenance. I have worked the last four years as a telecommuting employee and have utilized my home office for both mainframe and web based support work.
I have lived in Europe, West Africa and the far East so I have a wide range of experiences with people of multiple cultures and backgrounds.
Additional Information: Currently located in Middle Georgia. I would like to remain in Middle Georgia, but would consider other options.
I have begun working more with linux on the side. Currently run Slackware linux on my personal laptop and work with PHP and mysql on the side.
