Objective: I can reduce the material costs and increase production of any body shop. Depending on the current management's knowledge and skills, I can increase production 10 to 50% with the same amount of employees. Material costs can be reduced at a similar rate.
Experience: I was a body shop manager/painter for one of the largest new car dealers in the midwest. Production was doubled, material costs were cut in half. At the same time the customer satisfaction rating skyrocketed. Having experience as a bodyman for many years and owning my own used car dealership has given me the knowledge of how to accomplish this task successfully.
Education: I have a genius IQ and am self taught. I am a graduate of the University of Life. Anybody can get a college degree but knowledge and intelligence is not included with this piece of paper. I have seen production managers that are basically worthless and only eat away profits through their salary instead of increasing profits.
Skills: I have the ability and the knowledge to do almost anything. I have never hired anybody to repair a car, house, electronics, appliances etc.
I believe I could go into almost any business of any kind and increase production and efficiency. I will do this without requiring a high salary to start. I will accept a percentage of the increased profits your company would receive. Part time consulting is also a possibility.
Additional Information: One example of my abilities. I built my own 4000 sq ft home in Iowa with an attached garage that was 30 X 40 with a 13 ft celing. Yes, many people claim to have built their own home when actually all they did was to hire contractors to do the work. When I decided to build my own home, I started by designing and making my own blueprints. I rented equipment to excavate the foundation and basement because the companies I contacted for quotes wanted $3500 to dig the hole and this was all I had in the bank to begin the project. I could not obtain a construction loan because the banks required that I use licenced contractors to do much of the work. I built the home as my wife and I made money to buy the materials.
I did all electric, plumbing, HVAC, septic, framing, roofing and everything else involved in building the home with help from my brother-in-law who had no experience at doing any construction work. I planned on living in the home for the rest of my live so I used the finest materials and built it to the best of my abilities. There was not one bit of the garbage known as OSB in the entire home. The plywood used for the floors was the strongest cabinet grade made. Sheathing was also cabinet grade, the entire home was hurricane tied inside and out. The HVAC system had perfect even airflow to all rooms without the use of dampers to adjust the flow. It was like comparing a Yugo to a Mercedes when comparing my home to homes built by professional contractors.
There was a neighbor who built his home at the same time I built mine. He did some of the work himself but hired contractors to do most of it. The first winter I lived in the home we had one of the coldest months on record. I was unhappy with my $150 utility bill until he told me that his was $650. The garage was not heated but never dropped below 40F even at subzero tempratures.
Due to divorce I was forced to sell the home. The buyer hired a home inspector who stated he had been inspecting homes for 20 years and this was the best built home he had ever seen. He also stated that it was the best electrical wiring job he had seen. Not to mention that every room was wired with dual TV cable, CAT5, dual phone lines and fiber optics. He also stated that all aspects of the construction was overkill but I believe that any job I do should be done to the highest quality standards possible. I tend to be a perfectionist. I do realize that perfection is not obtainable in high production situations but shabby work is unacceptable.
A high quality product, customer satisfaction and efficiency are the main goals of any business that wants to be successful and rise above the competition. I believe I can make this happen for you.
