PROJECT: Nexabit IP Core Router
• Identified and developed the core competencies necessary to design and develop a VxWorks Board Support Package, BSP, In-House. Produced Design document for a specific MPC755 implementation. Produced Unit Test Procedure / Usage document. Developed source code (using JTAG/COP, HP-Pod and SDS Single Step Debugger) to implement timers: Decrementer (System Clock) TimeStamp, clockLib, timerLib, Auxiliary Clock and WatchDog Timer. Developing the BSP In-House provided Lucent with control of the BSPs’ overall quality (cost, schedule and performance).
• Produced 15 – 20 MTX Boxes (commercial, off the shelf, single board computers) by procuring hardware and software and assembling for use as an alternate and more cost effective test environment when only the System Controller is required. This work produced parts lists, assembly, test and user guide procedures.

PROJECT: DACS-II High Speed SONET OC-3
• Produced 2 Mc68360-pSOS firmware products / images for 2 Circuit Packs, Optical Interface and Mapper. This development included device diagnostic drivers and utilized a Mentor Graphics Desk-Top Simulation / Seamless Co-Verification Environment and SingleStep Debugger over the Mc68360 BDM interface.

PROJECT: ATM
• Wrote Device Diagnostics for PMC Sierra ATM devices
• Planned & coordinated VxWorks Training with on-site Laboratory and verified lab exercises
• Reviewed VxWorks WindMP and published a framework document advocating its use in multi-processor distributed communications.
• Reviewed PCI specifications and evaluated devices from Intel, IBM and PLX Technologies.

PROJECT: I-CORE Platform (for WaveStar SONET / SDH Bandwidth Manager)
• Specified 3’rd party supplier, EBS Incorporated, for a DOS RTFS, Real Time File System. The implementation satisfied dual redundant, mirrored and backup disks.
• Utilizing C , produced a PCMCIA device driver for a Lucent FPGA device. This device driver is customizable at build time to satisfy several different customer hardware configurations (and at run time to support several Lucent FPGA device versions).

PROJECT: SDV / HFC, Switched Digital Video / Hybrid Fiber Coax
• Utilizing C inheritance, reused Call Control software to implement Channel & Drop Testing software onto Lucent’s SDV ONU, Switched Digital Video - Optical Networking Unit.

PROJECT: 5ESS Peripheral Control
• Integration tested GDSF, Global Digital Services Functions for 3, 6 and 10 way Conferencing
• Enhanced RISLU T1/E1 interface for Japan

PROJECT: 5ESS International CCS ISUP, Common Channel Signaling ISDN User Part
• Release 5EE5 and 5EE6 Private Environment Team: Performed load bring-up and regression testing activities in both System Lab and EES, Electronic Simulation Environment. I became familiar with various ISUP functionalities such as Error Protocol, Architecture Framework, Supplementary Services, Digit Analysis and ITS, Integrated Test System (debugger). Produced lab reports and bug reports (IMRs) and fixed many bugs
• IDO A-Code Check: My role on this feature was testing only and I fixed a lot of bugs in this code.
• IDO Tones & Announcements (a.k.a. Error Handling): I developed (design, code and tested) this feature.
• Performed Call Capacity Testing for the 5EES Switching Module with ISUP.
• The ISUP customers included India, Japan IDO, Japan NTT/Docomo, Singapore and more.
