Objective: To obtain a F/T managerial position as a Business Conituity Professional
Experience: I have over 12 years of experience in the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery disciplines to help ensure my company/clients can remain in business and recover quickly after a major disaster or business disruption. Through active partnering with clients, I provide leadership as a facilitator, project manager, instructor and consultant. I enable teams to establish and effectively communicate customer-focused goals and strategies for improving business continuity, with emphasis on reliability, resiliency and recoverability. My leadership skills are identifying vulnerabilities and gaps in businesses through business impact analysis, risk assessment, project management, process analysis, and quality. Day-to-day functions include creating, testing and maintaining business continuity plans and call trees using the most current BC/DR software packages available. Among my strengths are strong project management skills, excellent interpersonal and customer interaction skills, strong analyzing and evaluating skills, training, and planning.
Since November 2006, I’ve been working as a consultant for a pharmaceutical company specializing providing all facets of business continuity planning, crisis management planning, maintenance and support. I have also worked for a major telecom corporation as an independent consultant in a disaster recovery/business continuity planning project management capacity creating and maintaining DR Plans for their IT/Sox critical applications.
As a Certified Business Continuity Professional, I have gained a detailed knowledge and understanding of current business continuity planning “best practices” and lessons learned.
