Experience:
2004-2005 Plant Manager, St. Jude Polymer, Frackville, PA
Responsible for cost, delivery and quality of recycled PET products. Supervise 6 direct reports with a total of 65 employees. Implemented inventory controls and company measurements to measure productivity and cost of production. Began daily status meetings with supervisors and planning departments, set up cross training methods and set production goals based on plant capacities. Mentored staff on planning production with dependant events.
Improvements achieved: Throughput increased 39 percent, cost of production decreased 12 percent.

2002-2004 Senior Production Planner, Alcore, Edgewood, MD
Planned production of all programs, including a book and ship operation. Supervised and trained the production planners on Fourth Shift MRP system. Analyzed and corrected BOM problems. Prepared material quotes and lead times for the sales department. Communicated with management on material flow. Reported all problems to customer service and management. Implemented an inventory cycle count program to insure inventory accuracy. I was able to use my lean manufacturing experience to set up both visual and systematic Kan bans for Vought C-2, E-1, C-17 and Boeing 777 engine programs. With these accomplishments the companies overall On time delivery increased into the 90 percentile range (with the C-17 and Boeing 777 program being 100 percent on time), inventory levels were reduced by 25 to 30 percent, inventory accuracy increased to 95 percent, WIP was limited and a better process flow was achieved. Techniques used for achievements were lean manufacturing, division into teams, employee empowerment, communication/status meetings, cross training, visual status boards with daily goals for production and shipping.
