AQUARIA, INC. 1991 to 2007
Facilities/Maintenance Manager

• Reported directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing.
• Prepared budgets and managed capital projects.
• Successfully supervised the completion of a stalled kaizen event project resulting in the line efficiency reaching the targeted goal of 100% on the new product line.
• Oversaw and did emergency repairs on HVAC, lighting, plumbing and general building issues as they arose, both inside and outside of the building.
• Maintained and developed manufacturing equipment including custom made tools and equipment as the needs of manufacturing required.
• Developed and maintained PLC controlled ultrasonic welding systems, fabricated various tools and fixtures.
• Maintained a custom made coil winding machine.
• Did installation of 24,120, 208, 220 and 440 volt systems/wiring, both power and control.
• Re-roofed an 80,000 sq. ft. roof on the main office complex without interruption to the office HVAC systems during the summer heat, on time and on budget.
• Maintained facilities with various types of HVAC systems 5 to 20 ton units, splits system, boiler re-heat systems. Building lighting systems with older T-12 fixtures, both standard and high output, newer T-8, HID lighting in warehouse and outside building lighting areas.
• Helped with building security and all other phases of facilities as the need required.
• Department safety record was one of the company’s best for seventeen years running.
• Worked closely with vendors, interdepartmental managers and employees.
• Completed and participated in Lean Training, 5S and Kaizen events with cross departmental participation.


SANTA BARBARA NATURAL ARTESIAN WATER, Carpenteria, CA

• Company was a start-up facility for the bottling of drinking water. Small operation was unable to break into the marketplace in allotted time frame.
• Responsibilities included all phases of manufacturing. Production, maintenance, transportation, quality assurance, safety, inventory and costs controls. Building maintenance.

ARROWHEAD DRINKING WATER 1973 to 1989
Plant Manager

• Responsibilities included multi-million dollar operating and capital budgets along with all phases of manufacturing of 6 gallon, 2-1/2 gallon and 1 gallon labeling and packaging. Including all quality, safety, inventory, shipping and warehousing responsibilities.
• Water dispenser reconditioning, tanker and shipping operations, check/loading of route truck along with building/facilities maintenance.
• Completion of the new manufacturing plant and offices, including machinery and equipment in Milpitas, CA
• While assigned to corporate engineering assisted in the construction and start up of the new bottling facility in Dallas/Fort Worth.
