Special Projects Group / Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist – 07/2004 – 11/2006
My duties consisted of, but were not limited to, layout and fabrication of production and non-production, aircraft details. My responsibilities required that I interpret engineering drawings and specifications, decide the best, most effective method of production, fabricate the tool(s) necessary for completing the fabrication per engineering, and fabricate production quality parts from raw stock or by modifying existing parts to meet the required engineering specifications.

Job Title: Tooling Coordinator 04/1994 – 07/2004
I returned to the technical field when called back into department 38 as a Tooling Coordinator. I was in department 38 for more than nine years. In a short amount of time I received upgrades from the entry level of “5” to an advanced grade level of "B". My escalation through the grade levels can be attributed to my excellent troubleshooting abilities, a good corporate attitude, and admirable people skills.
While in department 38, I was privileged to work in most of the areas of sheet metal fabrication in plant 1. I was an active participant in the tooling design and fabrication for the JPATS and the Premier tooling offload programs. I was also selected to provide technical support for contractors participating in the outside production/shop overload program and support Supply Chain Management with the evaluation of potential contractors.
In the tooling offload and outside production programs I went to the contractor’s location on a daily basis to lead, guide, and direct, the fabrication and manufacturing processes required for parts and tooling on behalf of RAC. I worked for Ken White, Rodger Brown, Dick Zeeman, Jim Rader, Shawn James, and Steven Abrahams.
I was assigned to Procurement (Supply Chain Management) and reported to: Michael Hull, David Harvey, and Frank Provenzano. It was my primary assignment to support production and tooling outsourcing by providing technical assistance to the contractors involved in the effort. I actively participated in the evaluation and selection process to determine qualified suppliers and contractors (job shops) for numerous outsourcing programs.

Job Title: Mechanical Technician 08/1991 – 10/1992
In this position I was responsible for the technical support of all manufacturing areas in plant one on second shift. These areas included the sheet metal fabrication areas, small component assembly areas, and the machine shop areas. I worked for Dean Dragoo while in department 050. Due to a reduction in force, I was required to return to my home department of 005, for approximately 18 months and resumed my previously noted duties.

Job Title: Router Operator 07/14/1986 – 08/1991 and 10/1992 – 04/1994
My starting position was in the Rout and Drill Areas of departments 815 and 05. As an operator I was responsible for the producing parts of exceptional quality through the use of the Pin, Master, Hand Routers and Radial Drill. I was also loaned out to other areas of fabrication, on numerous occasions, per management request, to aid in maintaining the work schedule. I worked hard to develop a reputation for quality workmanship and a positive attitude. I worked under the supervision of Bob Smith, Roy Tucker, and Jeff Tunnell.

This experience has provided Chuck the ability to move into the Estimating (group) with minimal effort and perform satisfactorily. Chuck is currently assigned to handle all the tooling estimates for Plant 3 and has done a good job in keeping his queue to a less than 48 hour backlog (department goal). Chuck continues to support the Bids and Proposal effort by compiling and submitting the information into the ECS and ProBidder electronic formats.
