Currently working as Finance Executive with M/s. Pakistan Petroleum Limited, largest Oil & Gas Exploration and producing Company of the Pakistan operating with an annual turnover of more than Rs. 5.0 billions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ensure strict compliance with requirements of Petroleum Concession Agreement. All commercial matters of joint venture issues and Special projects arising from time to time. Prepare Economic Evaluation of Joint Venture if any. Prepare necessary details / information required for OCMs. Preparation of Quarterly Performance Review for Chairman PPL and Ministry of Petroleum. Preparation of Monthly Performance Report of Joint Venture for General Manager Finance. Preparation and circulation of accounting procedures for maintaining bank and imprest and well cost. Gathering of industry information for meaningful analyses and cross joint venture comparisons.
Monitor timely receipt and payment of cash calls in respect of JV areas, Monthly reconciliations as appearing in PPL books and Joint venture books, settlement of current account, monitor over and under advance balance position of the joint venture partners and take corrective measures. Cash & Fund Flow Management of each of the Joint Venture.
Monitoring and cutback of the monthly cost statement of operated areas and arrange to send the same to all relevant Working Interest Owners (WIOs) within one month from the date of the close of the previous month. Ensure that cost statement in respect aforesaid non-operated areas are received in time, scrutinise the same and raise queries, if any. Scrutiny of cost statement and General Ledger of above stated PPL operated joint venture areas for identifying wrong booking of transactions and rectification thereof. Coordinate with the operating department for preparation of proposed and revised exploration budget. Prepare comments on budget and other financial issue relating to non-operated areas. Preparation of financial statements of the operated joint ventures.
Arrange payments of Government dues i.e., acreage rental, training obligation and social welfare etc. in accordance with PCAˇ¦s and Petroleum Production rules.
Arrange and coordinate annual audit of joint venture areas. To maintain Abortive and Amortisation expenditure schedule as required for PPL audit and Income Tax assessment. Coordination and dealing with Tax Consultant and LTU for early resolution of matters relating to Sales Tax on LPG and Input Sales Tax.
Worked as Manager Finance with M/s. SuperFashions (Private) Limited from January 2001 to February 2002. It is a non-listed reputed company exporting Garments to the world leading chains like WalMart USA, WalMart Canada etc. Worked as Assistant Manager Finance with M/s. International Credit information Ltd. from September 1999 to October 2000. It is a non-listed multinational company representing the following world leading companies in Pakistan.
