Additional Information:
I will be graduating in May 2008 and am greatly interested in obtaining a job.I am willing to participate in clubs, sports, and other school events. I greatly enjoy learning and teaching mathematics in the early childhood level, and plan to earn a masters in the future.

Currently, I am student teaching in a 1st grade class. The lessons I teach, I always incorporate reading. I believe reading is one of hte most important factors in a child's life. Reading leads to more achievements. This is the best experience I have ever had so far.

I believe that students learn best by doing, as does John Dewey. I have used his philosophy and seen the progress, interest level, and accomplishments in students. My teaching style revolves around what students can do or learn to do. I do not believe in over using worksheets, but see them as an option. It is not an option for hands-on learning. The purpose of an educator is to lead and guide the students. I believe if children have a postive rolemodel, they can achieve anything.
