Objective: My objective is to obtain a job in the intelligence/defense industry with mobility and room to grow. My unique degree gives me the great privilege to have the experience and understanding of the intelligence process that other entry level analysts do not possess.
Experience: Department for Personnel Services, Ashburn, VA Loudoun County Public Schools, (9/06 – current) I have held several positions while at Loudoun County Public Schools. I was a verifier, receptionist and a bookkeeper. While completing my daily task I strived to make the positions more efficient and effective in handling the workflow. I have created job manuals for all positions as well as creating tracking systems for a variety of different tasks. I also have developed a database to track the department’s vendor contracts.
FBI Case Study Erie, PA Team Leader, (9/05-2/06) Mercyhurst College, Department of Intelligence Studies was selected to participate in a FBI Case Study competition along with fifty other colleges and universities. The purpose of the project was to recommend how the FBI should revamp the intelligence apparatus within their organization. I was selected, after an extensive in house competition, to lead a group of four underclassmen students on the project. We recommended four improvements that would allow the FBI to use intelligence more effectively and efficiently. We completed the required ten-page report with a twenty slide PowerPoint presentation. We presented our completed product to a panel of FBI Supervisory Special Agents and Senior Analysts. After our presentation they voted our team as the winner of the competition.
Mercyhurst College Telecommunications, Erie, PA Growth Analyst, (5/05-9/05) We conducted custom research and analysis on technology trends for the U.S. Department of Defense. I had several different roles in this project. I was the growth analyst on the indicators team. In this role I wrote a variety of intelligence reports. I was also charged with the creation of two databases and an electronic interface. The interface linked a variety of different programs with a few click of the mouse.
