Objective:
I am aspiring to do all around custom pieces such as, paintings on: canvas, on furniture & on fabrics. Design area rugs, faux finishing, murals, renderings, 3D collages, silk arrangements, holiday decorating, redesign areas to staging homes for resale, by working with a successful interior design company.


Experience:
I was an in-house artist for a company in Cincinnati, doing all mentioned. I have taught art classes, done sales, quotes, window arrangements/props, kitchen layout options, catalog orders. I work well on own, with co-workers or with clients.


Education:
B.A. in Communications Design & minor in Fine Arts/Interior Design out of Chicago. I attended, Winona State University, Oakton College, Ray College of Design (now called Illinois Institute of Art) & University of Cincinnati. I was top of my class with endless ideas for TV commercials, magazine layouts, campaigns, logos to unique, functional flowing floor plans. Numerous awards in high school & college.


Affiliations:
I learned more color analysis through working with Beauticontrol Cosmetics.


Skills:
Mostly hands on, but have taken classes in: Pagemaker, Microsoft Word & Excel, silk-screening, caricatures, portraits, photography & calligraphy.


Additional Information:
I have written & published a children's book, interested in landscape design, enjoy making sculptures with ceramics and wood. I am currently looking into tile painting for custom backsplashes. MY ABILITIES ARE MUCH LIKE DAVID BROMSTAD OF COLOR SPLASH ON HGTV.


Reference:
Currently substitute at Cason Lane Academy K-6 and all other departments there including: art, music, library & learNing lab for special needs children. Too many references to list. Will be glad to narrow down on an application, along with 2 portfolios & photo album.
