Experience: VERIZON, 1989 - Present Regulatory Manager, Albany, NY, 5/05 - Present Responsibilities: Government liaison, responsible for network reliability, business continuity and abnormal event reporting to the New York Public Service Commission (NYPSC). ·Work with the Network Surveillance Center to report outages 24/7, including 911, SS7 and Switch. Assist in developing root cause analysis of major outages to report to the NY PSC. ·Build relationship with internal departments and NYPSC Staff to prevent/minimize NYPSC intervention in company operations and objectives. ·Oversaw $8 million dollar network reliability diversity project ordered by the NY PSC, ensuring the project is on track and will meet the ordered completion dates.
Data Network Engineer, Albany, NY, 9/00 - 5/05 Responsibilities: Project manage Fast Packet and DSL equipment installation and acceptance testing for Central Offices in New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Ensuring the quality and completeness of broadband and backbone Central Office (CO) installations. ·Worked with ILEC Engineering, Logistics and CO Equipment Installation teams to make sure milestones from the site survey, equipment delivery to installation are completed on time. On average, managed over 500 installations annually. ·Quality audited each installation upon completion, following up to ensure deficiencies were corrected before releasing the installation for network creation. ·Upon rollout of the Company’s new fiber to the premise (FTTP) product, audited the central office and outside plant installations in and around Keller, TX and Tampa, FL.
