EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:

RockHouse Live - July 2006 to Present
Founder & Investor
Created and built the concept of RockHouse Live, a boutique live music venue and restaurant located in Dallas, Texas. RockHouse Live is a 300 seat venue featuring state-of-the art recording equipment to produce “instant” media, similar to what we was accomplished with DiscLive, below. RockHouse features excellent food, a “warm” environment, and the best local, regional and national talent playing in an intimate setting. Created the concept top to bottom; raised the funding; created and supervised all advertising and marketing campaigns; interfaced with radio & TV for media buys; supervised the creation and maintenance of the RockHouse website; booked and negotiated all deals with talent. Designed and implemented the audio/video and recording system, including high-speed duplication. Selected, programmed and maintained point of sale (POS) system. Managed all e-commerce and credit card transactions. Build and managed RockHouse brand to maximize exposure to new audiences. Manage marketing and sale of products online, both digital and “ship home.”


Immediatek, Inc./DiscLive, Inc. 2001-2006

CEO & President

As CEO and visionary, provided day-to-day direction of the business. Developed relationships and strategies for future product rollout. Full responsibility of all P&L, including full reporting to the SEC. Developed key strategic relationships. Oversee all public and investor relations.

Key achievements and responsibilities included fostering deals with AEG, Billboard Magazine, and MTV; made almost every key artist deal the company ever had, including those with artists such as Billy Idol, Vertical Horizon, Loverboy, and numerous others; responsible for implementing copy control software into Immediatek's flagship product, NetBurn Secure; rolling out new technology such as "instant" DVDs, instant delivery to iPods and more; raising several million dollars in capital over the course of five years; managing shareholder expectations; creating and overseeing all marketing efforts; identifying and exploring new technologies; identifying and acquiring other companies such as DiscLive and Moving Records; overseeing licensing deals with artists, labels, and other players in the entertainment industry. Negotiated all key aspects of the sale of the company to billionaire Mark Cuban in 2006. Interfaced with attorneys, accountants, and auditors throughout the life of the company.

Voyence, Inc. (previously PowerUp Networks) - 2000-2001

CTO and Founder

Successfully negotiated a license agreement with Sabre, Inc. for rights to the WARPED software product which I designed and programmed (complex web-based software which automates configuration management of Cisco and other routers and switches). Founded PowerUp Networks on the basis of commercializing this product, and raised $600K in seed funding from Startech (www.startech.org). Assembled a top management team consisting of 20 year + veterans of information technology and business development. Succeeded in obtaining $12.4 million in funding from private venture capital placement only three months after founding the company. Conducted high-level partnership and sales meetings with many Fortune 500 companies. Managed 20+ developers and engineers. Participated in board meetings. Became knowledgeable in all phases of building and funding a new company. Provided direction to company regarding technology and product vision. Remained in a hands-on technical operating position with company, now valued at over $60 million, through growth to over 35 employees, and through the release of the second version of the commercialized software. Served as the architect of the new application and provided leadership to a team of engineers and developers utilizing ColdFusion, JavaScript, Java, CSS, XML, Flash, and other technologies. Faciliated key partnerships including early discussions with Cisco concerning the flagship product, then called “RND” but now called Voyence Control.
